the thing that I hate the most about an "SQ" setup is keeping the door panels from rattling/resonating when you have a very powerful set of components in them

"Deaden the shit out of it." I mean everything, inner door card, the bottoms of button clusters (wrap it around them if possible) and where any trim elements meet.

I was told to mass load the doors to prevent the resonating, is mass loading the same as deadening but with a different heavier material?

It's a combo of different materials. Deadner, open cell, closed cell etc to get what you are looking to do. Each product is designed to work with a range of noises
