I hope so, they won't be getting rated power like the previous subs that were in the box, more like half their rated power, it worries me that it might not be as loud though :/

it's planned to be finished this friday, the box is already built, the owner used to run CVX's, I have a build log of a honda pilot that's where they are going, but were putting four door speakers and an amp on them this friday, should sound fairly decent and loud

odd number sub boxes hurt my brain but i'd go with 8 12, more cone area, I also like a multiple woofer setup, and they take more "RATED" power than 3 BTL's.

two fully loaded FI Q's would be right around 550, 1000rms a piece and it's Fi's sound quality sub, i've never heard them in person but Fi is a very well recognized company soooo I'd give them a shot.

and when do people use the L in a port? to change the tuning of their box if it isn't deep enough? On most ported boxes to get correct port length with enough port area it can require L'ing the port. Basically just adding length to get desired tuning. ahh ok, thanks 727 and DC for the info, and if you have to add the L for extra length is it normally to tune lower or higher? or does it always depend on the type of box?

It bends like an L.. remember it the length from the point of the L to the back of the box always has to be equal the width of the port ohh ok, see i was thinking this was a common slot port not an L-port if that's what it's called? so if it were a regular slot port the length can't be more than the depth of the box right? as you can tell i'm a n00b at this, but i'm trying to learn Oh i thought it was called a slot port cuz it looks like a slot LOL, We were both confused well i'm not sure either, if i'm correct a slot port is this and then if the port takes a bend like an L, than it's an L port? You seriously didn't read his post at all did you? He has 2 8s right now... maybe he was trying to say a regular 8" woofer, not a shallow mount?

sorry for thread jacking but i'm trying to figure out how to use this properly, on the port dimensions what's the length of the port? is it the depth of the port if so, how can the port be deeper than the box itself? I probably have something wrong here but that's why i'm asking.
