  1. I know I just uploaded a vid today and yesterday, but I can't pass up this one. This is a triple 18" box for Stretch at the carstereoclassifieds.com forum. He will be using re-coned Atomic 856 motors and will be throwing them in the cargo area of a 2000 Explorer Sport. The box is 18ft^3 with a 32hz tuning via a pair of 14" tall x 9" wide ports. Power will be a pair of Crescendo 3500's. This will make good use of the term "Exploder." I apologize for Youtube's "audioswap" feature for not working lately...no audio ftl.
  2. This one is for Greg Lucas on here. Subs angled forward and port firing up in his 4-door Dodge truck. The box will go from his instrument cluster to the front of the rear seats, replacing the center console area...at least until he decides to to a blow-through box. Final specs are 4.2ft^3 with a 33hz tuning.
  3. I thought they had them on the AQ site?
  4. I think I found the answer to all of my questions, and for $100 nonetheless. Up to 55amps of charging if needed, and float-mode monitoring to keep everything topped off at all times. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Schumacher-SpeedCharge-Wheel-Charger-with-Engine-Start/13005738?findingMethod=rr&ssm=0&sspt=1#BVSecondaryCustomerRatings
  5. I love a solid low-end, so that box would be right up my alley.
  6. This design is for Josh Baksh, and will be going in the trunk of his 1992 Acura Legend coupe. The box will be sitting at the trunk opening with the mainly external port firing into the cabin via the arm-rest hole. The subs being used are RE Audio SX, 10" models. The box is 1.15ft^3 sealed with a 2.8ft^3 ported chamber tuned to 44hz. For some reason the audio is not being added, even after waiting a full day.
  7. ??? WinISD doesn't tell you how to build the box or anything. You simply put in your desired net volume and tuning frequency and it'll show you an estimated anechoic frequency response.
  8. If not for potential gains on the meter, I'd do it just to add rigidity to the back wall.
  9. Go ahead and go with the 1" mdf if you can get it for a reasonable price. With a box this size it isn't going to add much weight over the general 3/4" stuff, maybe 10-15lbs in this case. Go with 2-2.25ft^3 and a 33hz tuning for a general all-around good box.
  10. The aluminum frame gives it a good amount of kick for being a shorty 9mm round.
  11. The one I have right now can do 20amp at first and then as the voltage of the batt gets higher it will step down the voltage a little until it goes into a 2amp charge that will raise the voltage the last bit. I guess the issue I am having is the best way to maintain a large bank of large batteries. I'm working on getting a load tester as well, so I can ensure proper function and ability to recover and hold proper voltage. I assume that I can just manually do slow charges every once in a while to keep voltage up without having to invest in a tender.
  12. I've never had a problem just drilling into MDF with coarse thread screws...
  13. Here's one I've been eye-balling. http://www.amazon.com/Schumacher-SSC-1500A-SpeedCharge-Charger-included/dp/B000H961YI/ref=pd_sim_auto_7
  14. Don't really need it to be in a hurry, just to turn on once or twice a week to keep them maintained. Maybe something small will work just fine.
  15. It actually looks even more slick in real life. They're cheap too, grabbed mine for $200 and it has hardly any signs of wear at all.
  16. Thanks Ray, I'll look into it. What model do you use? I'll need something that can handle charging a string of 10 100lb batts.
  17. Well, not really looking for the best, but just looking for some opinions of some good 2/10/20 (or close) chargers. I'm looking to grab a pair of matching ones in the upcoming months, and just want to see what you guys have had good results with. I personally have used Vector chargers, which are the same ones that Kinetik used to use for their 12V charger. I have a 2/6/10 and a 2/10/20 as of right now...might grab another 2/10/20 if I can, or maybe step it up to the 2/10/20/35-40.
