I was driving home today, listening to my radio really low (8/40), and my subs just cut out. I turn off the radio, turn it back on, and nothing. I get home and check the back of the wall, and i see the protect light is on. Also I am hearing a really quick ticking sound. I know it could be dozens on things that causes one to go into protect, does anyone have a clue, or experienced a similar problem to this? Any help would be appreciated.

x2. Im all about facing life head on with a hard on, but I dont see how this would be less of a money pit than car audio. Now instead of just worrying about stereo's you're going to have to worry about an entire extra car (that you dont drive on the street) and keeping it in running order, as well as fixing damage that it is no doubt going to sustain during the course of races. Like i said earlier, try it out with some extra dough, and if you like to sell off your car audio shit and go balls deep, but if it doesn't at least you still have shit to run when you get back in to car audio (notice I said when...not if).

I say keep your audio shit, and just try out the racing thing for a while. If you dont like it, it's not like you sold all your shit, and spent the money on something else that ended up not panning out for you. I am constantly torn between car audio, and doing other shit. I think selling everything to fund this could be cutting off your nose to spite your face. Just my $.02

screw rubber, mount that bitch to something else. mounting it to a single baffle port wall is quite possibly the worst place to mount an amp...you're going to shake the shit out of that thing.

What is a good software to use to add bass to songs that have none? Im wanting to add some bass to some of my classic songs, like journey and shit, and am looking for some software that would give me an effect similar to an AC Epicenter, basically just adding bass about an octave or so lower than already present. BiggBoy showed me a program he has, but it only works on Mac's and Im stuck with a Pc, so what could do something similar?

It's going to be tough to upgrade what you have as it is a dual piston caliper. only 98+ blazers had those. I woul d suggest buying a nice set of carbon metallic pads. other than that a brake upgrade is going to cost you thousands.

Whats the tuning on your box again? There's a lot to take into consideration, but 2 15" L7's have substantially more surface area than 1 18"level 4. I think im probably going to lean towards the kickers, though.
