I have 2 cvx 12's wired to 2 ohm. rms is 750 max is 1500 how close can I go over 750 daily? They are in a slot port box. I dont have a amp right now but im looking for one to buy in the next few weeks. Dont know what to buy till I know what I can run highest rms without killing the subs. Its a daily driver also. Thinking I should just get a 1500 watt amp and run 750 all day. Or can I get a 2000 watt and run 1000rms to each? Im a noob so be nice hehe Also I have stock alt if that matters.

cvx 12's cost 250 a piece and my box was 150 .. amp cost a cool 100 (ill never buy a cheap amp again)!!!

first setup was 2 rf xlc's 15's sealed box running off a 4 channel amp at 400 rms all day. current setup is 2 cvx 12's slot ported box no amp died this last summer (pyramid red series 4 channel 1600 watts)got it from ebay its all i could afford at the time.

All i want is a mono amp that works! mine died last summer...no beats since then.
