Bump. Anymore opinions?

So should I try and build a box at 40 hz? Or should I just use my daily box? I have a Chevy s10 extra cab and DC level 4 12' running off a DC 1.2k if that helps anything

I was wondering at what hz is a box considered a SPL box? I'm asking this because there's a comp coming up in my area and it's gonna be my first comp ever. So I don't know one thing about it. So I was thinking maybe the tuning on a SPL box is a little bit higher than a daly driver box? If there is will the "SPL" box increase my score or will it stay the same as my daily driver box? With my daily driver box I scored a 136.2 iirc. But I don't have access to a term lab to just keep testing with different kind of boxes to tell wether it will help or not. My daily box is tuned to 34 hz. Thanks in advance!

I agree with snow drifter. But I like the second box better. Just cause its less complicated than the first one.

yes 0 gauge is the prefered gauge of wire to use. and no. just as long as your terminals can hold the 0 gauge properly and for distortion, do you mean something like the SMD DD-1 that can detect distortion?

i have almost the exact setup as you, but i have a xs d3400 as a rear batt. anyway i have a 12' dc level 4 on a dc 1.2k with the box tuned to 34 hz and i frickin love it! i hit a 141.0 db if i remember correctly, so i would recommend just going with a 12' level 4 with a well built box heres a pic if you dont believe me

So right now I'm thinking about getting the level 3 m2. But I have a level 4 right now. So my question is will it be a upgrade if I go from the level 4 to the level 3 m2? Or will it be the same thing? I know there are not any specs for the m2 series yet. But maybe some of the reps or even rusty could chime in and share their opinion.

I got the dc 1.2k. I have a yellow top up front and a xs d3400 next to the amp. I also have the big 3 done. And my voltage doesn't drop below 13.2 volts. I love my dc 1.2k!!!

Hello, I am currently going to be a senior in high school and I was looking into going to UTI or MMI trade school. I was leaning more towards MMI because I want to get into the whole supercross/motocross seen. After MMI I would like to go to UTI for diesel and auto mechanics. So I was just wondering if anyone has had any personal experience with this school or have heard anything about them. All opinions are welcome and thanks in advance!

Never had pioneer but I saw a couple of them and man are they nice! Right now the brands that I'm looking at are kenwood, pioneer and jvc. Still wondering if there are certain things I need to look for when I buy a headunit?

Both of those decks look good. Now I have so much options. Maybe this question will narrow down my options. What do you look for when you buy a headunit? What I'm looking at is the brand and the things that it can do like Bluetooth. Are there other things that I need to look for?

It's not that I don't like it. I think it's just I want more options. I mean I can't complain cause it came with the truck when I bought it. Autruche: the touch screen deck and price is good! Never heard of that brand though.

I know this is out of my price range. But has anybody ever used the jvc avx 77? Cause that's a beautiful deck and if people here like it and reccomend it then I'll most likely save up for it.
