  1. Because I am a fan boy. Is that the answer you wanted? Both are great brands, but I don't think those 8's are going to actually take 3k rms. **Sorry I thought OP said HE not HX2...
  2. Its gone now...Sensai locked it, think its kinda too late though... Not really. If they wanted to remove him from the contest they easily could. He has a sick build, but thats not my point.
  3. Why has it gotten this far? I would think its a greasy move, and it would have been deleted by now.
  4. This design was redone, with the port facing the front. I appreciate the hint guys, but it's still a nice design. I am in the process of changing the box itself, which I already had built. But help me out next time, instead of laughing your ass off lol
  5. No one will have a accurate guess on the numbers. No idea, it needs to be built. Crescendo is a great brand, but I would personally suggest the AQ2200d with proper electrical. Ported or sealed depends on what the subs like. Do you know the qts of the subs? Most likely if you are looking for SPL, you will want a ported enclosure.
  6. Fixed Skittles, I wrote it out funny. No, there is ample port area on this design for a single sub.
  7. They are real decent for the price. Nothing but good reviews so far for what they are. What subs did you have?
  8. OK guys, I revised the box, and I put the port facing the front, running behind the sub. I am finishing up, and I will repost it. Same port, just going from the front plate to the rear, like normal. Sorry for the confusion, but I don't want to scrap the plan. Links should be up later tonight if anyone is interested.
  9. I moved from winISD to just using torrex now. winISD doesnt account for a few things, and it seems the curves are always a bit off. I am going to sketch it up, and post it to see if it should be good. Then maybe RAM or someone can chime in
  10. Was going to do right down the center in the back, and in the center toward the sub. So L shaped, down the middle of the back. BUT, after punching some more numbers, I cam up with this design... Going to go down the left side in the back, and just use the length of the box to my advantage. The port will be off center, but if it allows me to do what I want, it will be fine. So I came up with... 2.5 x 10 x 30 = 30hz tuning, and 12.89"^2 port area What do you think?
  11. If you got a full refund, there are much better amps for the money...
  12. Thanks man. This design has the port in the center of the box, so its only one common wall. I am punching those in. Thanks again man, I do appreciate the help.
  13. I looked up the price of aeroport and pvc 6", both are our of the question. So I am back to trying to figure out a slot port for the design. The outer dimensions are 17x23x16, and its .75" wood.
  14. Thank you RAM, I was wondering. Still didnt solve my port issue, but it did let me know I Am moving in the right direction. Thanks again
  15. Its a 12" MKii, will be powered @ 3 ohms from my AQ2200d, so seeing ~700-900 RMS, which is perfect for this sub. So I am trying to get a port figured out for it. I thought the single 4" round port was too small.
  16. Finishing a box for a JBL MKii Specs call a 4" x 13.31" round port, which according to Torres calc is 4.3"^2 of port area tunes to 30hz. So.... can I get away with a single round port like the specs say? I read somewhere round ports needed less port area... Can anyone chime in?
  17. when you do the aero ports you need to make sure you need to have 4" between the end of the port and the wall which you wont be able to have with a 25" long port within your dimensions Damn good point. So I guess I am going to try to do a slot port instead... This is turning into a major headache
  18. I think thats a compliment I am a huge Mustang fan too man. I just had my heart set on a Eclipse at the time. They had dropped the new stangs around the same time I bought my car, and it was between a 300c (a bit too much at the time), a 03 Mustang (had a 6+ week wait for a fully loaded one) or the Eclipse which was in stock, and mostly the way I wanted it. So I went with the Eclipse.
  19. Spoke to soon. I have the IT guys from work tinkering right now. This pisses me off royally. I spent hours trying to take pics
  20. The entire rear sear pod can be changed at will. I can buy a solo seat, or completely remove the body line by buying new fairings in the rear. So it can be made however you want it. Thanks for the compliments man I also added carbon fiber mirrors, forgot to mention that
