  1. wow i screwed up bigtime. i always forget to change the port height on a double baffle
  2. heres the specs. i'll see what i can whip up on sketchup. edit: changed the #of common walls to 2. changed the tuning about 1/4hz. no biggie. onto sketchup!
  3. i'd say go with what's easier just because of the fact the one 3/4" sheet of mdf wouldn't make a whole hell of a lot of difference as far as tuning and volume goes. plus, more support! but either way i think you'll be fine. just give me a link to your build log! i expect plenty of pics!
  4. and just to correct his error a "box" has six sides. a "square" has 4
  5. ha it's real. of course, chris torres did make the program
  6. taking out all those little ports would be a pain in the azz to do. i'll just do a very rough sketch...
  7. but with the original plan the box looked kind of like a pair of die (dice?) double sixes!
  8. and that would also be feasible to put that in your box. you have enough space for it.
  9. actually i just recalculated. maybe a single 5" port per side (total of 2) would be better. about the same tuning and all.
  10. i guess my argument here is that if you're not competing and you're not metering it all the time, then to your ears it wouldn't make a whole hell of a lot of audible difference. maybe some, but not a lot. then again, maybe i'm just trying to save myself from redesigning it too
  11. well, yes i would agree to it probably lowering your score, but just how significantly was the question
  12.  your avatar is eeepiiic!
  13. I could have sworn there was a couple subs that the manufacturer said had to be broken in. I have seen it to where the manufacturers have a break in time posted on their page, so this is what baffles me audioque says so
  14. it's going in the trunk of your car, ricky. it's going to be loud as fuuuuu regardless. i think it's just that the more ports you have the more times there's turbulence around the entrance, but i doubt it will be anything extremely significant
  15. explain that statement more, i'm curious to know why that is? i think i believe it, but just how significant is it?
  16. the port area per cube is based off of 9-12" per cube. the tuning shouldn't be different because of the aeros
  17. i lol'd when i saw that caprice was reading this topic
