  1. Agreed!
  2. Thanks Paul for answering my question. So is it hard to do?
  3. Is it just a reinforcer and just for looks? Does it do anything else besides that?
  4. Yeah I agree. An Altima with a V4 engine should do pretty decent. I am just sick of paying gas. I mean I will still put a system in the Altima to get it loud.
  5. Yeah I really don't know what kind of vehicle I really want. My mind fluctuates way too much. I really like the Magnum but the other side of myself keeps telling me to get the altima to do better on gas mileage.
  6. Well SUVs do have the "natural advantage" of being louder than cars. . With a car, you just have to put forth that much more effort to keep up with the suvs. David, that was a sick box you built and yet you still had so much more space left. That's awesome. I am sure if you had built that box at least another cubic foot you would easily hit over 145 right?
  7. No I don't think it will be a hatch. Alright here is my possibilities of cars Magnum Charger Alltima I am not set on getting a car. I might just get an explorer and call it a day. But the reason I made this thread is because I am worried that I won't be loud at all with a car lol. So leather absorbs bass a lot more huh?
  8. Right now I have a Jeep and this summer I think I am switching over to a car. I still want to be loud but I am wondering if I will be as loud in a car. I am not going to wall anything either so that's not an option. What do you guys think?
  9. Yeah the box that g.monkey designed will have the port up subs up. I am aware that the box is undersized but realistically I don't have that much space to work with. I could do a wall but I have to think about it first. This box that I am building is going to be tuned at 38 hz. Just like g.monkey said, it should still pick up the lows but sound a lot better on that higher bass.
  10. I am very pleased. You definately exceeded my expectations. Very good once again.
  11. haha, if it's your baby I don't think it would be that gross.
  12. The new box should sound better and be louder then what I have now.
  13. Like you? lol I like to look in my review mirror haha. I would like too but I am selling this Jeep soon and getting something else. Maybe in the new car
  14. Hey guys I am building a box this Sunday and I am just wondering if you have any tips/advice for what design I should go with. Subwoofers are two Kicker 15" L7's getting 2000 watts total (1000 each). L-Ported Box Subs up port up Box Width- 42 inches Box Height- 19 inches Box depth (bottom and top)- 18 inches Wood thickness- 0.75 Square port Height- 17.5 Square Port Width- 4.25 inches Square Port Length 1- 13 inches Square Port Length 2- 8 inches Tuned- 32 HZ Cubic feet- 5.6 Box with Subs up port back Box width- 42 inches Box Height- 19 inches Box depth- 18 inches Wood thickness 0.75 Not so sure about the port on this one This is going in a Jeep Liberty so its in a suv. Question is what would sound louder...a L-shaped box or a box with subs up and port back? Also, if I go with the L-shaped box should I use 45's? Should I use resin? sorry for all the noob questions!
  15. Yeah I didn't even see subwoofers moving. It was like this in almost every vehicle. I saw a Kicker van with two warhorses powering 4 Solo X 18s and my friend and I asked him to turn it up and it probably hit like 132 db lol.
  16. I am not sure what's wrong but something definately doesn't sound right.
  17. I have a feeling that they didn't turn the bass up very loud.
  18. Since he doesn't have a voltage meter now lets be hypothetical. When he eventually gets a DVM and tests his voltage and say he doesn't get much voltage drop then what else could be the reason for the amp cutting out?
