  1. Box will be under the window line, no mods done whatsoever( besides replacing door speakers). I have stock center console, pillars, and the like. Would the Big 3 count as a mod? Only info on amp is that it's rated for 500w at 4ohm on 12v.
  2. Well, neither MECA or dBdrag have events down in Louisiana (that I could find) so I guess I'm looking to get into Usaci. My question is what classing would I best be suited to when I'm using 1 DD3515, 1 AQ2200, and 1 XS D3400 in my Dodge Dakota... Thanks for any help, I'm a newb I know!
  3. Like you mentioned, it gets passed around until something happens to it and it is no longer tradeable, and then someone fixes it and it goes back into circulation. I'm sure it loves this since it gets to meet all kinds of new people and experiment lol
  4. Hmm.. Maybe wiring them to the speaker wire? Seems like That way they get power when the speaker gets power, which would make it blink to the music or whatever... Just a thought, I'm interested in this too
  5. Alright, got pricing figured out, will keep everyone posted on the status of the project once I start to get some money together lol. Will take a year's worth of savings, so yall try not to be impatient
  6. I plan to within the next month or so, plan to order 4 each month for 5 months and then start with amps and batteries and alts and the like I've always been interested in DC since I discovered them, wish I would have went with them instead of DD for my current build. So I want to rep them nicely lol
  7. I figured it would be somewhere in that area. Still want to get a dealers quote though to be sure... Also a quote on 5 DC 2k amps would be nice as well I have big plans for next year if yall haven't realized.
  8. That reaction is the reason for me wanting to do this type of build I know, have a year to save so might as well plan big Sure is lol
  9. Basically looking for a price quote on 20 DC Lv2 8s. May do a build with these in a few months, I love the looks of these things ever since I saw them, and 20 8s has a nice little WOW factor Sorry if I shouldn't post this here...
  10. Its only 500 watts. Not a huuuuge difference. They are only rated for 1000 watts also. True true... And yes I know, but I've seen 4 Copper Coils hooked up to 4 AQ2200ds and they seem to take the power just fine. I just want to do something that will move lots of air and be louder than the other vehicles around here A kid can dream, eh?
  11. In my current build I'm definitely not ready, but in a years time and the electrical upgrades mentioned in the OP I'm sure I would have enough to run a Horse Remember guys, I want at least 2500w to each subwoofer, so at least 10kw total
  12. Hm, may consider it I figure it will, but I like to plan ahead, even if it does change. Plus I've noticed audio equipment holds it's value pretty well, so can always get something new if it would come out. And will look into them Stetsoms Yes, but the aluminum allows for more power handling. I want this to be a DD that moves a TON of air and still hits up the TL.
  13. I'm planning to get my mom's Trailblazer in about a years time, so I want to start planning a build for it so I can save up enough to get everything I need. I'm planning on running 4 Audioque HDC318s, got that figured out. Also plan on getting 3 D3100s for the back, D3400 under the hood, and a Mechman 270A HO alt as well. Of course everything will be in 0gauge... My question is what amp would you recommend to power the subs? I want AT LEAST 2.5kw to each, was considering a Kicker Warhorse. But do yall have any other recommendations for a amp/s for about $1600? And also, with that much power, would yall recommend the Aluminum wire instead of the Copper wire for the HDC3s? It's better to plan all this out in advance, prolly going to start buying equipment piece by piece once I'm done with my Dakota... Thanks
  14. For just drawing the circle, all you need is a piece of string 1/2 the mounting diameter of the sub, and a pencil.
  15. nah i dont have any of those, are they expensive? i have weights, or is that a bad idea? Also when assembling the box after cutting is done i should glue then screw the panels together correct? but after the glue is dried are the screws obselete at that point? The screws will basically be obsolete, their main use is to hold the box together while the glue dries. Once it dries, they serve no real purpose, might offer a bit of bondage but the glue is your main man
  16. This, and only this. But to add to the fun, leave a turtle in the truck when you return it. Why, you may ask? Well... Why not?
  17. Yea If I would go to autozone, I would make sure I know what they are using to charge it, and that they wouldn't over charge it. I'll just drop it in, and in about a month or two, Ill buy an XS charger. Thanks for the responses guys!
  18. Alright thats great to know. I'm in dire need of a new battery lmao. So it would be good to just install it now, then whenever I can, just put a charger to it?
