do you think ray would be able to get me plans on a 6th order? and be able to get every measurment to "where it should be" then the rest is up to me being able to get the measurments right

O.k. so from my understanding this is what the insides should look like, two sealed enclosures, then you find the resonant frequency of the ebclosure and where the peak of that is at is where my port should be tuned to. Correct me if im wrong

ok. so from my max measurements what would be a good box height width and depth if i'm running four 15" DC XL's on a DC 7.5k ? I'm not quit understanding the ratio portions of this fully. so basically make your own whatever you want box design, find the resonating frequinecy then tune it where the peak of that frequency is correct?

that is not for his vehicle it is an example of a 4th order I was thinking about for my self. Just a way to get his thought process going on his own. 36 tall is what the OP said he had. Floor to ceiling in there is much higher. I wonder where this measurement is being taken. Is this a C pillar wall? also 48 seems like a between the wheel wells measurement. To do a full wall you can get a few more inches in there. yes the 48 is between wheel wells, i was not for sure where to measure , and this is behind the second row " wall" kind of deal, and its 36" from the hatch floor to ceiling, its taller in the rows

You design one.. I have been playing with a few idea on my vehicle. here is one of them, keep in mind I can not finish the box at this point since I have to build this into the vehicle then find my resonance of the sealed chambers. Then I can build the loading wall and port tuning will be where my resonant peak was. Is this using google sketchup?

so when you are figuring the resonance you build the shell where it normally is and do you seal it all to run your sweep? then figure out loading wall and port tuning correct?

I recently have gotten good news today which i never thought would happen. My dad said i can have the escalade since my mom is getting a new car. And you all don't have to be too jealous.. its a 99 with 160k on it. nothing to special. but down to the shit! I'm planning on 4 15" DC XL's with a DC 7.5k on a 4th order. I have the ~MAX~ measurements which are 43 deep 36 tall and 48 wide. here's the problem. i have no idea how to tune or design a 4th order really. Where should i start on this.....

would a street box be good just as good? idk i was thinking of doing something new in this plane jane town and having the first wall around here. Plus i love the big builds. thats why i love car audio. the adrenaline gets pumping for all your hard work waiting to sit in the car the first time and the anticipation of that first demo to yourself . it all pays off after it .

if i were to put a wall behind the 2nd row in a tahoe with 4 15" DC XL's , would it be any different than putting it behind the 1st row? i would kind of like to ride around with more than 2 people sometimes thats why im wondering how much of a difference it would make :/ oh and ... i was thinking a 4th order wall? or shoot me opinions on what should be best

ok.. i have a dvc 2 ohm 9515 DD . i just thought about it and i have my pos to my pos, and my neg to my neg...then ran my pos to pos on my amp and neg to neg on my amp..... but i just thought about it ..shoulnt it be a loop between the pos and neg then run on pos from the coil and one neg from the coil to my amp to creat a 1 ohm load? and can someone tell me what load i am currently? maybe im just delusional :/

well that would be fine by me! iI could most definatly get ahold of everything for 3000 i was shooting higher. even tho it usually ends up being higher :/ problem is if i should do two 15"s or maybe more of something else,i just saw four DC lvl 4 18"s on the 7.5k
