So just messing around in WinIsd, I saw that a 8w3 has a good response curve that I like when in a 2 cubic foot box and tuned to 28 hz. But, seeing as this is only an 8 inch sub, would it still "work" in a 2 cu ft box? And do what it says it would do? If any one has any experience with the 8w3's and good setups, feel free to share. Thanks

I'm looking to make a ported enclosure for my vmax 15. In the manual it says that the internal volume for both the recommended sealed and ported enclosures are the same, 2 cubic feet. From my experience, I've always seen the recommended ported enclosures to be larger than the sealed. So my question is, has anyone had any experience with these subs and found/know if the 2 cubic feet volume for a ported enclosure would work? Or should I go with one a little larger...

I am wanting to find someone or two people who has one or two extra magnet boots for the 2009 model Memphis Mojos they would be willing to sell. I just bought two mojos off someone today and he didnt have the magnet boots for them, to me I personally think they look better with the boots. They are the mojos pictured in the Memphis 2009 catalog. Even if you have one magnet boot that would be good. I looked all over the internet and found nothing.

Do you have to brace aero ports inside the box .

I plan on doing four AudioQue HDC3 18" Woofers soon (Copper Coil). I was wanting to know if there were any woofers that can handle as much or more power and are as good or better than for around the same price. If anyone can let me know something that would be great, thanks!

I just bought two memphis mojos off of someone today and he didnt have the magnet boots to them, the magnet has a few very small chips on the bottom of it. I was wondering if there is something you can put on it other than finding some magnet boots to keep them from chipping off? Like some kind of glue or epoxy? I plan on taking very good care of these subs i just wast sure if they are going to continue to chip or not?

I know Sundown says .5-.75 My question is if they will perform well in .6-.65? 1.2 total after drivers(both in one chamber) and port area. Space is limited in my hatch, so the smaller the better, i will use them for daily drive, Rock mainly, but also listen to EDM, regueaton and some hip hop. Another question, can i give a port area of 20 or 22? bellow that at 1200 watts i will have port noise according to WinISD. Of course, the program gives the worst case scenario, like if i Am pushing the entire 1200 watts all the time to them which it wont happen Thank you for your inputs in advance.

Hello my name is josh, im new to the forms and car audio. I've been researching for the past week and learned about the potential of sundowns SA line of subs. I came to the conclusion that i wanted the SA-12 because price, size and performance. I like reference bass (punchy). My music choices include D&B, Metal-core, and Dance Hall. i wish to keep the bass as close to what the artist intend the track to sound. IDK if anyone has done this before but i ant the box to be able to play in car and also be pulled out and played at the house. I just need to know how to power them out the car. I need a box design that would deliver the audio performance i desire. The amp i looking at are the Hifonics BRX1600.1D or the BRX1100.1D also heard good things about MB Quart ONX1.1000D and MB Quart ONX1.1600D . I might go for the MB, unless someone has a better suggestion? BUDGET around $200...less will be good please help me get the components right so i can move on to the next step of my audio journey Vehicle : 1999 Toyota Corolla Location in the vehicle: Trunk Space available (Width x Height x Depth): " W x " H x " D Need to take measurements will update asap Sub-woofer make and model: Sundown SA-12 D2 Number of Sub-woofers: One Box Style: Ported Type of Port: Kerfed or Slot Music: Mostly Bass dominant music, D&B, Electro, Dancehall. Metalcore with some rap Is your goal SPL or Everyday Music?: Music, Movies, Party...use for everything musical. Reference Bass reproduction I will build a second identical system to run in parallel if this is successful and meets my liking

Hello everyone I'm curious about a few things, I heard people say the audioque hdc3s don't like lows. Wouldn't it come down to your enclosure size and tuning/power. How many cubes would it take to get these batboys to drop some low notes (35-30hz). I have a four 15" box that approx can give each sub 3.8 cubes each with two ports that 110 square inches per pair , so basically 220 square inches of port with a port length of 24 inches. I'm wondering will this box work for these subs. I just picked up two sundown 3500s. Let me no wat you guys think.

Hi everyone, this is my first post, so I thought I'd take a minute to say hi. I was hoping you guys could help recommend me a sub? I'm going to use a ported enclosure, I don't want to spend too much over 150, but specifically the kind of sub I want is a 12" and I want it to hit as low as or as close to as low as 20 hz. So far this is what I found that I may buy, I was hoping you guys could help recommend any others that could be better/cheaper. http://www.sonicelec...TS-W3002D4.html Edit: Oh yeah, and I'm planning on using 2 if that helps.
