Ok so im down to my last wires.. they are all black grounds. 2 are coming from the harness 1 with a terminal, 1 with out a terminal. 1 is coming from the head unit harness and it has a terminal on it. also the previous head unit was grounded to a wire that was black/blue stripe that is not from the harness but next to it coming out of a group of wires. So my question is.... Can i take the terminal off the Head unit harness ground, and use a butt connecter and ground it to the harness ground and then just tape off the other ground on harness that has a terminal?

After research on Reverse gear signal it seems i defiantly need to hook it up so the monitor turns on automatically when i back up. But the matching wire is no where to be found and there isnt any info on where to find it. So if someone that has installed a backup camera can chime in that would be awesome .

New wire... Reverse Gear signal.. is this important? I do have a back up camera going in.. there is no wire on the car harness for it. The reverse gear signal is a purple wire coming off the head unit harness.

what color? I found #4 under the parking break consol area.

Decaf please make a video tutorial on how to actually fix the clipping. I think we would all love to see it and learn how to fix clipping. I have always used the video that this guy posted to fix my clipping but apparently ive been wasting my time lol.

You guys ever hear a song on TV, or radio away from your car system and say "wow that's a good song" Then you play it in your car and you hear the bass line to it and it ruins the song. Yeah i hate that...current song that fooled me was LMFAO- Party Rock anthem. Bass just is constant same beat, no change.. kinda boring. But i still like the song w/o alot off bass going.

Fyerbyrd22 I think I can answer this one. But someone else please chime in if I am correct. I believe from what I could gather, the best method to use would be to use the most often used form. So if you used your ipod 99% of the time to listen to your music in your car, then rip the songs off the disk and put em on your ipod, and use your ipod to tune it, if you listen to CD's 99% of the time then use the CD to tune it. I gather that the CD is just to provide the exact clean, non clipped, tones for tuning. But someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I don't think it would matter which way you do it. Because either way you are setting your gains to the MAX they can be w/o any distortion. But I think i see what your saying.. so if anyone else wants to throw in some input on this do so.

If your getting to big RMS subs, You gotta get high RMS amp.. then if you do that your getting yourself into an expensive electrical and your over $1600 in a heartbeat.
