  1. 1000 watts is more than enough on that sub...build a custom box for it and never look back
  2. panel on the box come apart maybe?
  3. vehicle, measurements, goals?
  4. i can probably make 4 15's work...its just gonna be tight...REALLY tight...and id hate to get the subs and then have rip the base out and redo..lotta work for not lol i think we could get it close to if not just as loud with 2 18's as well have more freedom with the port to play with
  5. id just keep it in there if you use it...i forget these have 3rd row seating in them sometimes lol i wouldnt worry about it then just if you ever rebuild leave a little more room between box and the hatch IMO
  6. if you can (it looks like you can) try sliding your box a few inches farther away from the hatch looks a little close might make it a touch louder...but burb looks good i envy your room lol
  7. im not a huge fan of tuning much below 30 hz lowest i would ever tune is 28.. i like around 33-36 hz depending on the sub for just a music street beater
  8. the predrilling is to stop the screws from splitting the wood and sink into it better...self tappers would split the hell out of mdf i would think..but no ive never tried it
  9. i really dont like you using liquid nails... ive had problems with it in the past coming apart on me...wood glue works fine..but what i use is ---> http://www.lowes.com/pd_44917-65911-F26-34_4294729391_4294937087_?productId=1087179&Ns=p_product_rating%7C1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_Glues%2BTapes_4294729391_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_rating%7C1&facetInfo= AMI customs turned me onto it.. alot easier to apply and every bit as strong as wood glue
  10. if youre splitting the wood stay away from the ends 5-6 inches just make sure PLENTY OF GLUE lol...thats where you usually running into splitting problems mosta the time is the ends

  19. i can prolly get em hooked up... but a wall with 7k aint gonna be cheap man.. even installing it yourself its gonna cost you close to 4k by the time electrical and everything is done to support that much power along with building materials, subs, amps, wire, good headunit,
  20. holly shit lol i live in c-dale lol
  21. what part of southern illinois do you live in?
  22. either way of position the subs should work..just them at the back of the box the subs are furthest from the port and allow for a better loading..but either way works really shouldnt have loading issues either way.. and i like that one the best..
