What size box ARE you running and is it ported or sealed?

What you're REALLY gonna have is trunk rattle Galore!!! You don't have the right amount of room to properly position an 18 in that trunk. 2 forward firing 12s ported to maybe 35 Hz completely sealed off from the trunk would be a better idea. Firing an 18" into the trunk lid, will sound like garbage, as close as it will have to be TO the trunk to get the proper amount or airspace. That's IF you even have the right amount of airspace to begin with.

How is that ALL the space you have to work with in a minivan? And why are you choosing only a 10"?

I think he is meaning to INCLUDE 45s, since he mentioned it right around displacement of subs. I'm not OWNING any design by any means, just crunching some quick numbers for him. I'm not sure the airspace is even correct. I know port aread looks good, but I'm not sure what the response would look like with those things. I've always thought they were hungry for air.

^^^That was about 1 minute of time playing with Torres. I guessed on the sub displacement and bracing. 45's don't take up TOO much space. You didn't say what vehicle, what power, or anything like that, so I'm not sure about what you're looking to accomplish. I'm pretty sure the SoloX's like a LOT of airspace though.

You guys MIGHT recognize who it is. If you're subbed to them, check the post out, funny shit.

You won't be able to pull off a port like that firing into the B-pillar with a lentgh of 55". You will choke the shit out of the port if you have it that close. You need the width of the port distance from any obstable(like a wall, door, pillar).

That is the box program that tells you how the specs look to see about volume, port area and tuning...

It would be fine to run that battery yes. If its a lead acid batt, do NOT put it in the interior or you car, or trunk. Fumes are DEADLY, and leaking acid is no bueno either.

What kind of budget are you looking to stay within? Amping the speakers would be the best idea. I'd start out with a set of Fosgate Punch series 6.5 components if I were you. If you want louder, there are other options.
