  1. So tuned to what Tony and you have been doing Meade!!! I don't care what it cost to get one, I want it!!! And I'm not a shop, nor run a shop, just your run of the mill Basshead!!! Keep it up guys!!! Let us know when its available....
  2. It will take 1400 RMS and I believe it will take your 1500 no problem good clean power no clipping it should be fine but if you really want assurance contact Jeff at DC audio or on here corona Jeff.
  3. Thanks fellas I was trying to stay away from adding a battery back by the amp, an upgraded battery under the hood an an alternator sure....thanks guys
  4. Not sure havent thought about lookin at that yet... But thats why im here, to research lol.... Its stock in a 99 chevy venture now, but lookin at what I need to do to run the dc @ 2100
  5. Lookin at 1 ten inch dc xl with upgraded cone and surround, runnin a brz 2000.1d, so just a upgraded battery under the hood or upgraded alternator or both??? Anybody got some advice???
  6. Joe, let me know if you were able to see the box on this link.....http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3455349378708.2131001.1120030323&type=3#!/photo.php?fbid=3632156478775&set=a.3455349378708.2131001.1120030323&type=3&theater
  7. That is a rather huge lookin box, I do appreciate it, and yes I would love to see 2 in there as well, at 440$ start for one its tough....kids put my dreams off week after week, its always something that takes daddys savings lol... If I can save up enough I might need a box design for two!!! But for now I think that will be the winner!!! Thanks joe for your help, ill see what I can do about a link for some pics of the other box you gave me the help on....looks pretty schnazzy, cutom fabric on it as well....thanks again joe!!!!
  8. I was also going shallow and long like that to prevent sliding around in the vehicle or tipping over, as if that would be a problem with a 53 lb motor lol, my two tens in there box now slide to all beat hell in my 99 olds eighty eight, so I ratchet strapped to the trunk frame to the ports on both sides....
  9. Its getting a double baffle on the face of it and thick rubber under the amp legs to prevent any damage, I know its not good for the amps to be mounted on the enclosure.... And if you strongly recommened against it still any thoughts then...
  10. its not that the box u designed is flawed just waiting to break the 12" in thats in it this box is a whoie new project for the van... would like the top mount idea because of all the free air space inside the van. you got my specs on what i would like but i dont know what lengths to make the l port.....any ideas joe
  11. ok, i see i got your attention without being a pest lol... thanks joe, you gave my friend a blueprint for the 12" pioneer champion series pro.... here was my idea for a box in the man van.... 33" long x 12"deep x 10" tall.... i didnt want a huge box but one big enough to mount the amp to the top of the box along with the top mounted dc xl, and still have room for the port....i did the math and with the displacement i found that a spacer at 17" with the displacement of .18 ft cubed will give me 1.00055555555.... do i need to make the spacer at 18" for the displacement of the l port? any help would be wonderful i want this 1 ten to be supreme in this 10" comp i got going...lol
  12. thanks for the input, its a debate on whether i should do 1ft cubed @38 hrz or 1.5 or 1.6 around 40 hrz
  13. joe x is actually the one who gave my friend the specs for that custom box but i dont wanna bother him, and be a pest so i figure id just post to see what other pll have done for the dc 10 xl
