  1. Well I don't think she's gonna let you half ass it lol. Better get ready to put in work. I've suddenly gotten the idea I want to run BTL's but I still want my sq. But good luck man. It's gonna be nasty. You doing AQ amps as well?
  2. You got a Damn good wife! Big build going
  3. I think he said this guy actually does his work for him that would be sick
  4. the big JL on it
  5. its just cool to see micgiver got in to sub building
  6. I'm honestly impressed
  7. disturbingly short throw lol, these guys don't seem to be pushing them that hard

  10. Damn that does look pretty good! Looks kinda like a re to me, idk? yea old school re If I had the money to toss around I would deff buy some and beat on them
  11. not trying to be post dumper but I did a quick search on the optidrive 15s and there's 3 diff ones lol. but two look pretty beefy and decent http://www.amazon.com/Lanzar-OPTI1533D-Optidrive-15-Inch-Subwoofer/dp/B001RJJ29S
  12. the lanzar subs aren't that bad lol. those are ti baskets and it looks like 3hp motors I dunno
  13. looks like a tc sounds based sub. pretty cheap it seems
  14. ap3k
  15. SPL motors most likely wouldn't be good for a high xmax build. Since from what I know spl motors have extremely tight gaps, and high xmax subs typically use motors with "loose" gaps. And sounding good is usually user preference. user A might like subs that play tight high bass notes where others might like loud n low. Typically a sub with a high xmax can play lower notes louder. But may not be louder than another sub. I plan on building two 15s using ti baskets and 3hp motors with a lower fs and a relatively high xmax
  16. epic 8s or RLi8s if you can find them would be good choices, they get low, they put out, and the RLi series subs work in really small ported enclosures.
  17. good choice. cant go wrong with any of those
  18. I have a ZXi150.4 I got off sonic for a little over 200 shipped. I'm pretty happy with it. So that might be an option
  19. I say no go, since neither of you are the "mechanic type" thats way too big of a project. I'm a die hard gear head and I wouldn't even consider this project. I second the nitrous kit, but not really. the for 3.8 is a turd of a motor to be honest.
  20. I'll have to pass on the fatmat lol. But when the time comes I'd deff like a deal on some alpha damp or damp pro though
  21. nice but almost sounds too much like that niya cat thing or w/e it is lol
