yeah i have heard of them, Dayton, Pyle, Selenium. Just wanna make sure im getting the right stuff. I am mostly confused about powering the speakers... I know you can get special amps but do they have 120volt power for a wall socket? or what?

well im not needing to upgrade my sub stage yet just thinking ahead. i will probably save for a good 4 channel. i really want the DC 175.4 but its freaking expensive. But a beast. haha i dont know. probably will splurge for it at some point.

Can you wire a mono amp to power your mids and highs? I feel like it can ge done just would be putting out alot of power. I was only thinking about this because I have a 1200 watt amp for my sub right now but when i upgrade im gonna be going with a bigger amp for that. And I dont have a 4 channel amp yet for my mids and highs. could I use it running at 4ohms just set the gains low? I hope its not that dumb a question...

Im thinking i wanna start looking into doing so performance mods to my 2001 Nissan Sentra GXE 1.8L 4cylinder. i know its not the most sporty car. haha... but its what i got and i really wanna make this a nice car. gonna be working on it for years. (or at least thats the plan). SO my question is, what performance modifications do people start with? And what are the "easier" things I could do to improve my cars performance?

Like I said i dont really have a budget. I dont know what is a "cheap" budget for home audio equipment. you tell me. what should i expect for decent equipment at lower costs?

My dad is a singer. He wants to devote a room in our house to his music. Nothing crazy he just wants a good computer, headphones, and good speakers to start with. And he was looking into Bose speakers. I know they are really good. But i told him i could probably find some speakers that are just as good and cheaper. I would build the enclosures for them and everything as his Christmas present. So he said alright. But then i realized I really know nothing about pro audio and home audio. So could anyone help me out in finding some stuff. Im not looking to spend alot (its his money) and i dont really have a budget for this because i dont know what is a good budget. lol... Any suggestions will be considered. I have been looking at Parts Express.com but im not sure I know what im looking at, or looking for. haha..

He mentioned Sound deadener in the first post... Alpha Damp is thicker so thats what i would go with for your doors. Also you should look into Spectrum. It does the same thing i think but can get into places that Damp cant. just my 2 cents.

turn it around. haha... i have a lvl 4 15" with lvl 5 soft parts in a 4th order in a trunk and that thing gets low! not much rattling though because i have it facing the cab and it is practically sealed off. haha

im gonna try to get my Lvl 4 15" with upgraded soft parts in a 4th order on a 1.2K metered this weekend. I see there isnt anyone else with one up there with a 1.2 so i will be the only one. lol

yeah i mean it doesnt have to be HUGE. haha. but i say go big with the electrical to make sure your giving all the power you can to your subs and amp.
