I believe all of you that are saying that the amp is less RMS than rated, It's rated at about 1800RMS, since the last time I took it in and got it measured. The 3 Cubic is measured after displacement of the sub and the port. And I'd prefer an under powered sub over an over powered sub...I tend to abuse my subwoofers. I would buy the level 5 or XL but I'm on a budget =( The level 4s are costing me $624. you can still abuse a underpoweredsub by clipping those can take a lot more than 1k on clean power. Why stuff the box? Wouldn't that mess with airflow? Idk was told it'd help with bass dynamics..."tricking the subwoofer it was in a small box" It also messes with the cooling dynamics of the subs from what Ive been told. From what Ive learned to understand, in the world of DC, you dont have to trick the subs into anything, just give them clean power and a well designed box and let em thump

How did you determine you need your gain set halfway?? Too many variables really. Start here. Sub, box and port tuning, amp Someone that knows more will come in and answer when you have more details up What kind of car do you know how many amps your stock Alt is? I'm running 1180 rms on stock electrical but I have a truck with a large alt

wow! definitely hadnt seen that video before but man thats crazy the difference!!! The metal on this truck is thin as shit, im really disapointed in that. So alpha damp on the rear wall and roof and doors. Ill mearue the truck tomorrow and see what kind of space im talking about covering. I have about 20 ft of dynamatt left over from doing my dads hotrod i could use to put on the floor if it bothered me lol

Right now I have about $175. The build is going to be two XL 15s @ 2500RMS ea in a 7^3 box in the back seat. Eventually I plan on doing the whole truck cab if thats what is recommended. The whole think rattles and sound like asshole with just my L7s right now I can only imagine when i add better woofers and multiply the power x 5 lol. The truck is a crew cab with the woofers bolted to the floor in place of 1/3 of the back seat behing the driver. I figured the rear wall and rear doors. I was wondering about roof/firewall/floor mainly. If its worth it to make it sound better/louder/quieter from the outside ill do the whole truck lol

So I understand stop rattles yada yada but.I'm getting ready to start a DC build and want this to be above average install/material wise. 1) what exactly does deadener help do besides stop the ugly noise outside 2) I know everyone loves second skin and Ive never heard anything bad about it so what product exactly should I look into? 3) I don't have enough to do the whole truck can in one go, so what's the most critical areas? Once he was out of the vet and fully recovered my nephew used to grab his ears and jump on is back and ride him like a horse. He slept next to me in bed every night till he died a few years later. Both had "tasted blood" and never showed an extra ounce of aggression. Odin, the one who was attacked, maybe even calmed down a little

Ive got two reticulated pythons and three chameleons. This is a sub fire het albino female (now just over 10ft) This is my albino male who's note just under 7ft Then I have two female panthers and one male panther cham All of em but the female reticent are for sale to fund my DC build lol

So I'm stepping up to the big boy leagues and am picking up two XL15s from CJ18 to replace my kickers lol. They will eventually be powered by a 5K once i can afford the extra battery and amp. Until then I want to start designing and building the box and am looking for hints. It will be in the back seat of my truck bolted to the floor in place of 1/3 of my back seat behind the drivers seat. I have 22w 25h 36l to work with. Subs have to fire up and port can either be up or to the passengers side, if its port forward it'll be about 6" from the back of my seat if that's enough room. What do these like to be tuned to port wise? Its 100% daily system and will probably never be metered. Should the front baffle be doubled? This its gonna take a good amount of weird and I only wanna do it once and have it right the first time

Okay lets stop the box on the back.seat shit. Blown brought up a good point and I can take out the back single seat and it would allow it to be bolted down. I gotta pull the seat out tomorrow and get measurements to see what Im working with

Blown, do you have any pics of the seat removed/sub mounted? I have tools and shit behind my seats that need to stay there. This is my personal truck that also doubles as my.hauler/farm.truck

Durr sorry its Monday morning and I'm not awake yet. Its a 12" sub andnit wont fit behind or under the seats. There is barely enough room behind the seats to mount my amp. And.it's got "storage compartments" under the seats that are molded and a.pita to do anything with Why is on the seat so sketch?

So I know kicker and l7s aren't the best thought of around here but I got a brand newl7 and 1000.1 amp.for free so I might as well use them I know kicker has their recommended box size/design but does anyone have a better idea of what to shoot for? It'll be going.in the back seat in my 2011 Mega cab Dodge.
