  1. my question is, would a heavy coat be a good alternative for sound deadening?
  2. if it'll stick to the paint on car i'm sure it'll stick to mdf...
  3. Checked it out, not a fan tbh, i liked oj's collabs with gucci so i guess i'll give it a second try while on a road trip in the truck to experience it properly and judge then.
  4. Don't see any thing burned? smell for the scent of plastic and lead burning, see if you smell it by the power plugs, maybe it just fried the solder off or something stupid on the circuit board.
  5. finally got my rubicon monoblock, right when i hook it up, with no load on it, it pops all fuses, i replace them, then it pops them all again, so i decide i'd remove the remote gain controller to see if that's what caused it cause i remember reading a thread a while back where they suspected the remote to be the problem, then replace them and the first one i put in makes a cloud of smoke come out near the positive terminal, i'm not happy. did i do something wrong or was it dead on arrival? i could've sworn i did everything right, i've been playing with electricity since the age of 10 so i'm no newbie to it, but come on!
  6. So worth doing, but take your time and plan out what the steps, I'll be glad to answer any questions you have about it. I'll go with a nice ported box when i do the box build, only question is how to design it.
  7. q-see we have two of their ystems, you buy a whole set, should come with a dvr and four cameras, but we have probably ten to twelve total, including some pan-tilt-zoom ones, best part is, you can view it on your phone if you have an android, blackberry, windows, or iphone. but if all you want is a single camera, you can get a usb camera and use dorgem to record, it has a setting for motion sensing.
  8. @lbox Thanks, love the mitt. @pa-pa-platypus I'm sure some one's going to say something about the crudeness of this set up, i didn't build this to show off to any one, it's for personal enjoyment, but I do have a piece of carpet that hides all that away. The box is sealed all the way around with expanding foam so there's very little air leak into the bed of the truck.
  9. prefab sealed box for a blow through, two p3s with a rubicon 1.1000d. Seems to peak around 45hz, should i assume this is because of the prefab box or because of the acoustics of the truck? Plan on dumping the box when i get a little more cash flow, but for the time being, I need to make the best of what I have.
  10. I've got three rangers, an 88 ranger with a 351w in it (needs work), and my daily drive with a 4banger in it pushing 200k miles along with a parts truck. Proud to say when my daily driver takes a crap, I'll probably be upgrading to a extended cab.
