  1. thats what i was waiting for!!!.... A KNOWN runner to pipe up.... CJ, i lean on everything you ever write..... and, this did not let down, as par for the course......there you have it, now lock this up
  2. hmmm... is this going no where? except circles? ... lock/delete this eh?
  3. For sale is a RF Balanced Line Driver. Perfect for adding a aftermarket amp to OEM HU's. This isnt your normal 15$ LOC. Pumps the line voltage up, has clip indicator, and can run balanced or un-balanced. Cleans up noisy/dirty signals like a champ. I'll toss in the 2ft kicker cables. I just installed a DSP, so this has no more use, however, i did keep after the DSP install, to see if i had any noise this could clean up, but i was one of the lucky ones. so its gotta go. I do know that Meade has a review of this very product, being used to clean up some noise in one of his installs on the site somewhere. looking for 45 bones and ill takecare of the shipping (in the 48), reference avalible. thanks for looking.. EDIT - There seems to be some confusion from some member reguarding this unit. THIS IS NOT A 3SIXTY.1 or.2 PROCESSOR. This is Fosgates top of the line LOC. I just want to be clear, and want everyone to know what they are looking at, or getting. Thanks all. Kyle
  4. Right, well, I hear ya, I'd undo em all, if it's cool, start tossing em on, but I hear ya.. Give it hell ROOT !!.. Let us know buddy
  5. kranny Thats is what im thinking, I guess you could try and remove all speaker outputs, and see if it protects/thermals, and then break out the meter. And again, where im from, thermal and protect can be different. Different "alarms" and different issues.....
  6. damn buddy, your hitting wall after wall..... try not to get to down, or frustrated, but i know how it can be man...... did you just recieve this amp? or have you been running it for a while? if you've been running it, what changed? if anything.... and wait, is it THERMAL? or PROTECT? .... In my world, those are different... and could be different issues.... know what im sayin? edit - also, i remember you posting a thread on the JBL's, is this the subs we are talking about? i thought you bought D2ohm subs?????? or are we now on something different?
  7. hmm, it is a bit sneaky,... i found this on the 500/5 manual online...\ FUSE REQUIREMENTS It is absolutely vital that the main power wire(s) to the amplifier(s) in the system be fused within 18 inches (45 cm) of the positive battery post connection. The fuse value at each power wire should be high enough for all of the equipment being run from that power wire. If only the 500/5 is being run from that power wire, we recommend a 50A fuse be used.AGU (big glass fuse) or MaxiFuse™ (big plastic-body fuse) types are recommended. No fuse is required or recommended directly before the amplifier power connection. If one is desired, we recommend the use of a 50A AGU fuse or MaxiFuse™ type.
  8. No worries, and hoped i kinda helped. Your past where im at, but where ill be shortly. But, my junk/plan is different, and im going a differnet route,... good luck, and either which way, send me some pics of what your doing....(ill do the same).. I'm always interested, and wanna see others vibe... cheers bud...
  9. well, in that case, that to me, is up to you, theres those that dont fuse their alternator charge wire and get away with it.....get a way with it forever.... and then theres those that say a fuse is cheaper than buying a new car due to a burn down...... I guess what im sayin, is, if its coming off your battery(s), or "hot" then the chance of chaos is there.... do you NEED to? nope...... SHOULD you? .... up to you,....and its only up to you....If you have a cable comin off a hot source, it can cause damage.... know what i mean? try and go somewhat simple, fuse between bat one and two, and between two and 3. Use a distro block there, and fuse out to your needs....or a come off bat 2 and come off 3, fused to your needs..???.. trying to see what you want/trying to do, and maybe im a bit on the lost end...... keep askin, and between us and the others.... it'll get rollin man.... I
  10. with mulitple bats, i have not seen protection in between each, hence the use of buss bars connecting each... the out going, or live, thats different.... cool? is this what you ment?
  11. Weird, theres something like that on the sonic site, and the only ones i even kinda dug, at that, it just wouldnt be all that hard to mimic, or even improve on a little on your own eh?
  12. did that make some sence for you i hope? or make it easy to understand? and hell yes... and rip it up bro... make it all nice and neat, and show some pics dude!
  13. just me, but i would. The replaceable, external fuses on the amplifer, usually protect the amp its self. You also wanna fuse the in coming "live" wire to the amp either way,(just think that your distro block is the bat) cuz, if you create a short on the live wire(s) from the distro, even if those fuses on the amp let go, it wont stop the short on the wire itself... If the external fuses blew on the amps, the live wire would still be hot at the short.....
  14. interesting... what was up with the food at the end? did i miss something? and ..lol..a "hammer" ? ..... a 5oz rubber mallet = no hammer where i work..... but, i got ya : ) ......anyone run this or know the price... ; ) ? @chevyboy SHOK testing??... (the product name) pretty clever you clever cleverton you....
  15. Ordered my product on tuesday nite, and got home to this..They did what they could on the entire process, of which, i wont get all into..but, was fantastic. The OnTrac tracking service was awesome. At work, I recieved an email that it was on route, soooo, i quickly put in 2 hours of vacation, lol. On the ride home, i got another email saying it was delievered. And there it was... To all at SONIC, thanks, thank you very much. I will be coming back.... soon.... Kyle
  16. Outta all the time ive spent on here (edit- which aint much) bro, thats the first ive seen inside your ride..... No let down at all......cheers....
  17. A big 10-4 on this, I snagged up my 4 channel on monday from SONIC, and they were very cool about everything, including workin a bit on the price. The entire transaction was killer.....
  18. There's 4 pages of grills on the SONIC site, most of which i didnt really care for IMO. and of course there's a grip load all over eBay, personally, If it was me, just try making your own....see what you can come up with!?!! Give it hell??!!
  19. "So the Pioneers would sound worse than the MB Quarts if their both hooked too an amp since the pioneers put out more watts?" Wait, so its understood, this is not at all what i was getting at. From my understanding, you were running your mids off your HU. And that buying others that handle more power would more than likely be less sensitive, and running off your HU, not really be an improvement. If your talking about amping both sets, thats another disscussion. I was saying, AMP what you have now. Just for clarification. kyle
  20. thats comedy..lol....... side note, and or thread jack...Nathan, this is Kyle, from Mike, i just gotta say, with us and our situation, you were, and have been the ultimate pro's pro at what you do...... cant wait to get that bad boy in hand,... and spanks again, for everything..... kyle and laura edit - I was going to post a bunch of neato this and that regaurding you, and your product,...... but, i dont need to. Your stuff sells itself.....thanks again man...
  21. Thats the place to begin,... post up your findings.... also, if youve been jamin for a awhile, all was hunky and dory, and bam, this "just started" or happend?, then start looking at your electrical/ battery/alty. Have you noticed any weirdness with anything else electrical on your ride? maybe giving you a clue up to this point? kyle
