  3. A slotted port would be easier but I've heard good things about aero's I guess. Just did some quick searching and it seems to be rather hard to find the right one
  4. The ones I typed are the dimensions of the trunk, and I was aiming at 4 sq feet when I put them in the calculator I'm aiming for ~35 hz tuning vehicle is an 05 honda cr-v I used this thing to find port dimensions: http://www.diyaudioandvideo.com/Calculator/Box/ To be honest I really don't know what I'm doing with this calculator

  8. With dual 2 ohms it's either .5 ohms or 2 ohms Dual 4 ohm VCs can do 1 ohm With one sub it's different, I was assuming you were gonna get 2 but if it's one then yes a dual 2 can go to 1 ohm This site is helpful with this stuff: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp

  14. I need some thoughts on the alpine type-r's I have never bought alpine before but they seem to be good especially at 100 bucks each
  15. Well for a while now I got it in my head that these are in the "shitty" and "do not buy" category of companies, I don't know why but that's what I think of when I hear their names. Am I right or wrong?
  16. So I picked up an amp from some random brand (quantum audio?) and it worked pretty well as an experimentation (had it hooked up to a battery in my house) for a while and then BAM it's dead So I decided to open er up and post the guts of this "1500W" (LOL) amp By the way, the casing reminds me of some maxxsonic amps, notably the crunch "POWERONE" series (http://www.crunchusa.net/Crunch_PowerOneAmp.html) Anyway not sure if anyone cares... It worked well for the record until it's inexplicable demise. On a funny side note, I lost the SD card for these pictures inside (yes, inside) my card reader and had to open up the case to get it
  17. A shitty Quantum audio "1500 watt" amp 1500 watts maybe if I gave it 40 volts lolololol It died randomly I love china
  18. interested in this as well bump
  19. Oh I know I can't fit a box that big but yes it is an SUV so it has quite a bit of space. my current sealed box takes about 1/4 of the cargo room. Have you heard CV-Rs? How do those aq's compare??
  20. your trunk does not have 33.5 cubic feet of space. This site seems to think so http://www.thecarconnection.com/specifications/honda_cr-v_2005_4wd-ex-at_dimensions Idk same with this one http://www.4x4review.com/Reviews/VehicleReviews/2005HondaCRV/tabid/180/Default.aspx
  21. A 2005 Honda CR-V It has a rather large trunk space. Tall too. 33.5 Cubic feet of space
  22. Well I currently have 2 Kicker CV-R 12's in a small sealed prefab box. I want to replace them with something in the $150/Sub range (2). Yes I will be building a custom box for them. I was looking at RE Audio's SE-X series. Any word on them? Edit: Amp is Hifonics BRE1600
