  1. What size wire you running? Voltage drops from 250 watts sounds like bad grounds... BIG 3
  2. They look pretty badass ... Not gonna lie. Speaking of Kids, your boy is gonna have the baddest and loudest ride to prom and senior ball.... LOL... He's been helpin you out with it, so I gotta assume you won't deny it if he requests to use it for a night.
  3. Damn meade! Steppin it up once again! Props man! The Hoe will ride nicer, sit lower, and be able to support all that extra weight in the back without a problem!
  4. Just as long as you don't get carried away and try to tie the left front and the right front together to lower the impedance ;-)
  5. Completely my opinion, but I'll throw it out there... A tail light looks cheap if it: - Has fog on the inside of it - Has recessed LED holes (NOT IF IT REPLACES THE STOCK BULB ITSELF WITH LEDS, that's all good) High quality lights are DOT/ SAE approved too... When it comes to lights, I like to pass under the radar.... My lights are illegal, but not quite stock looking.
  6. You're right.... He never said altezza, but Altezza is a style... and if I didn't know any better I'd say Altezza rears would definitely match the black LED/ clear lense third brake light he was going for. I'm not trying to cause a shit storm, I've just got a really picky mentality about lights. I can tell the difference between a set of Ebay lights or a nice set of aftermarket lights, mainly due to the fact that the ebay lights tend to fog up more often than oem/ high quality lights and the Ebay lights always have 3-8 Funky looking recessed LED bulbs in the housing....
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-05-06-07...=item1e5a52c88f Hopefully you don't have the 2004 Heritage..... Almost all rear lights with clear lenses make me think 'ebay' .... AKA cheap. Like I said, I can't change your style and it's not what I'm trying to do... I just thought I'd throw my $.02 in.
  8. Dingleberry, it's your car and your style... But Alteza style lights are disgusting. Don't get me wrong, if they are your thing, do work... If you need some help, I got you. I believe what you're referring to is LED for the rear, unless I misunderstood your question. Most rear/ brake lights that are bright already have the LEDs in them... Like the third brake light you're lookin at.
  9. Oldie but goodie .... And A repost..... But 8 ohhhhmmmss Beeech!
  10. This is where its at. It's all about testing and trying different enclosures/ subwoofers/ sizes until you get the sound that suites your needs. That being said, I think a box tuned to 33 hertz is a good starting point, but that's me.
  11. I'm going to have to agree with Eric, something seems a little fishy. Way to go TeeeeeeeJaaaaaaaayyyyy!! Keep loving your Chevy and paying out the ass to fix your less than reliable Blazer! http://www.carcomplaints.com/Chevrolet/Blazer/1997/
  12. I'd put one 18 LVL 5 with at least 4k RMS up against six JL w0 with 4k RMS and I bet the 18 would be louder..... If not immediately louder, a 10 minute bump sesh would very likely put a majority of the w0s out of commission.
  13. LMAO..... I run DD subs, but I wouldn't put a generalization like that on ANYTHING in audio. DD makes nice products, I'll give them that generalization. Gratz on getting connected with Sundown Treo!
  14. I'll agree that the chassis has a lot more surface area, but there are a few things that mess your theory up. 1) Conductivity of copper vs steel. Copper is far more conductive. 2) Welds and spot welds. The chassis of a car is no better than 4 Gauge copper wire... Run a dedicated positive and a dedicated negative. Drop the necessary $50- $80 to do so, throw it into the car and if it doesn't make a difference fuse it and use it as a positive... Either way, the less resistance the better.
  15. Swooped up another picture from another member of the car club I'm involved with. This car club has about 35 dedicated members. It originated as a domestic car club, but the founders decided imports were pretty sick too, so we now have import and domestic divisions.
  16. I'm back in college, Drew. I'd love to make it..... but that's dependent on my schedule with school. If I go, I got some beauty panels to make and a few finishing touches to put on the system.
  17. Went out to Santa Cruz on January 10th, 2009 with about 10 other people from the car club I'm involved with out of Pittsburg, very successful day and some really nice pictures. 18. Nicely said Drew... SQL is a made up term. There is no such thing as sound Quality above ~139.9 .... Based off what drew said, however; there is such thing as SQL ... Which simply put means an overall good sounding system. A combination of Amplified highs and still a nice amount of sound pressure. The highs remain loud and clear, while the bass doesn't drown them out.
