  1. I dont think its to bad for my first attempt haha. 412 cvx said that the port is really long and i should make the box wider and shallower. he said ill probably get port noise. so i need to tweak it a little i guess! its sure confusing lol
  2. Here is some plans i drew up just for fun! don't know if ill ever build this but i had fun designing it!!
  3. ill try man! how do i go about doing that if the box is such a weird shape?? just type in a random numbers until i get the right volume that i have and then make a port for that? and would i use an aero port? Now try making one for SA8's and the appx. space you have.
  4. sweet thanks man! haha no it wasnt idk how i got that. i cant find the displacement of the woofer so i read on kickers website that an average 10" is .0334 so i put that in. now look at it man! i think i perfected it. it says that the net volume is 1.27 is that close enough to 1.5 that the manufacture recommends?? does it all look okay?
  5. Hows this boys! is the gross volume up towards the top, how much space there is after the port and stuff is put in? where exactly is that?
  6. dont have a max just tryin to learn how to do it all man
  7. is this looking better?? i feel like it is! my installer friend told me he found that 16" of port area per cubic foot is the best in his opinion. i cant get it to that and have it at 33 hz can someone give me tips on this?
  8. well okay, say i want the box 1.5 cubes after displacement. where does it show what i'm at as i add in port and bracing??
  9. i can't figure this out man. i mess with all the port dimensions and i cannot get the tuning below about 60. please tell me what im doin wrong. what can i change? this is just a pretend box for a thunder 4000. i want it at 33 hrtz. just tryin to learn

  19. How good are the P3 shallow mounts?!

  20. shit this is confusing haha. thank you for your help tho
  21. haha thanks man but id like to really learn how to do this :/ i am very passionate about it Port width..? Just try to stay within a 9:1 Height to Width ratio to avoid tuning shifts. Basically, just make the port height as tall as your box minus 1.5" (for internal measurements). Then just punch a number in for port width that sets you in the correct port area range. Usually between 12"-16" of port area per cubic foot of box volume is a good general rule of thumb. okay i did an 11 inch high port, 2 inches wide and that gave me 15.94 inches ^2 of port area per foot. then i put that in on 12 volt slot port length calculator and i got 32.42" long. put that in on torres and it puts me at like 51 hrtz. What am i doing wrong?? Go to the "# of common port wall" box and put 3. What are you using for dimensions? 12Hx15Wx20D I am using 1/2" wood. and dont i have 1 common wall because the port will be on the far side? so the side of the box will be used as a port wall?
