  1. I was excited for a second.. I have an 04 Impala, very similar, was looking to give some real input but obviously you have no clue what your doing.
  2. New Calculations: Port Area 126 inches2 Port Tuning 32hz Port Internal Dimensions 9” x 14” x 39.85” Port Displacement (8.25” of the port will be external)(31.6” Internal Port)(Effective Port Length) 9.75” x 15.5” x 14.25” =1.24625651 cubic feet 9.75” x 15.5” x 12.85” 1.24625651 + 1.12381366 = 2.37 cubic feet + 0.18 cubic feet (Subwoofer Displacement) = 2.54 cubic feet (Total Displacement) Subwoofer Dimensions Needed (9.29 cubic feet) 36 x 15 x 36 = 9.29883 cubic feet before displacement 9.29883 – 2.54 = 6.75883 cubic feet net
  3. Ok, that does clear things up a bit, ill need to re calculate these things and try again.
  4. Ok.. Well, 1. Im going to have my sub mounted in a way where it is out of the port. 2. The box dimensions are external dimensions. 3. I am using the bottom of the box as part of the port, but i thought i took that into consideration when i was calculating the port displacement. Instead of adding 1.5" to the port width to find the external dimensions of the port, I only added 0.75" since there is only really one side being added to the inside of the box. (Im not sure extactly what end correction means.) 4. Also not 100% sure what you mean by measuring it from the centerline. (Im thinking iv messed up now ;P)
  5. Yes, sorry for not explaining myself perfectly, but yes there will be a top lid, and that is where the subwoofer will be mounted. the reason i left it out is for easier visualization of my port.
  6. Ok, im using a Fi BTL N2 18", the box design is basically just a slot port except part of my port is partly external. The reason i am doing this is because i am porting my box through the rear deck of my Impala. Im just posting to double check that my math is correct and everything is going to work out the way i have posted.
  7. Port Area 126 inches2 Port Tuning 32hz Port Internal Dimensions 9” x 14” x 40.00” Port Displacement (8.25” of the port will be external)(31.75” Internal Port) 9.75” x 15.5” x 14.25” =1.24625651 cubic feet 9.75” x 15.5” x 15.75” = 1.37748264 cubic feet 1.24625651 + 1.37748264 = 2.62 cubic feet + 0.18 cubic feet (Subwoofer Displacement) = 2.80 cubic feet (Total Displacement) Subwoofer Dimensions Needed (9.55 cubic feet) 36 x 15 x 37 = 9.568 cubic feet before displacement 9.568 – 2.80 = 6.768 cubic feet net Iv basically done all of the calculations myself but im not 100% sure if I did it properly. Just double checking that my math is correct before I go building this thing. Here is a picture for reference.
  8. W0's are very bottom of the line JL series... I wouldnt recommend them
  9. Im running my BTL N2 off of 1500 watts and it still sounds beast. ^.^
  10. Yeah, Ill double check with the mounting depth but im pretty sure everything will be able to fit.
  11. Well, tell me what you guys think. Nothing too fancy. Net Volume = ~8 Cubes Port Area = 1442inches Tuning = 30hz Box is just a rough sketch, not actually drawn to scale. Top is OFF in this picture allowing you to see the inside, the subwoofer will be mounted ontop. The port is partly external because i will be porting it through the rear deck of my Impala.
  12. Yeah, there is much better options than the ones you have posted. Id go with either Audiopipe, Audioque or American Bass. All make amps for a great price,
  13. No personal experience, but just from what iv heard id stay away from most of those brands.. Crunch and MB are the only decent ones id say. Id look more into an AQ 1200 or an American Bass VFL 100.1 both solid amps for a fair price.
  14. Idk about walling it off.... My rear seats dont fold and im deffinatly keeping them in, I love my bass but not enough to take out my rear seats quite yet.. Im open to suggestions though.... Maybe a wall firing up or something fancy ^^
  15. Thinking about the future, and was wondering, in about 7.5 cuft net box, Would a BTL N2 be able to run at 3000 wrms daily? This will be after my HO alternator and such, and im almost 100% sure its not problem, But nothing wrong with asking.
  16. Thought about them yes, i just dont want to pay the extra money for aeros when i can have a slot port that works just as well.
  17. Thats what im thinking, to be honest i dont think it will fit in my trunk any other way. Ill be intergrating the spare tire well to get the most cuft i can out of this trunk and still be able to move air well. Im hoping for 7.5-8 cuft net.
  18. I know, i wouldnt have gotten one in the first place, this actually used to be my dads car and it only had 1 alpine type x 10" in it. The only reason i kept the capacitor is that it worked well for running my powers and grounds, didnt need to rewire the whole car.
  19. Well, ill probably make a little amp rack, and ill be switching out the capacitor for a Kinetik 1400 (Just got it yesterday)
  20. Sounds awesome, tightest and most accurate subwoofer iv ever heard, i was very suprised at first, it also gets pretty loud . But once i get the bigger box it will be a lot better.
