Well I just made my account.. That may be my personal problem, I always used my moms where as I don't want to fool with it, then this week I decided to make my own where as I was selling stuff, and buying subs from skar as well as amps and misc stuff, thought it would have been quicker to have my own on hand.. Which I suppose wasnt the best idea.. Or maybe it's because I haven't verified my account where i added my bank account and havnt yet checked my account for the two small deposits?

Quite the task, but parents said they would take care of my bills and expenses here if I actually provided means of gettin in and paying for it.. If it goes thru I will be staying at my parents summer place in southern daytona 15 min away.. Oh yea this school is $9700 board included or 8900 without board.. Only downside

Single 15 setup still seems to be the best option for you, and you me times upgrading later on, so why not get a good 15 that will hold more power than you will be running and when u decide it's not enough all you will have to do is all more power.. Granted it will be the slightest amount less than a woofer at max power, but the lack of excursion at low power seems like a nice trade off for upgrade possibilities

Sorry for thread dumping dude, lack of sleep has made me sorts cranky.. But the Alienware platforms are alright, the specs on them are good, as said before gaming computer will need quad core and at least 6gb of ram a huge hard drive and a very large graphics card.. But remember every 9-10 months hardware starts becoming out dated so what u get now may not be opinmal by next year.. So spend your hard earned money wisely

Dang I could build a gaming desktop for around 1k and still have a decent laptop to use lmao that's my point.. Don mean to be a duck about it, but what is the real purpose to having games on the go when most of the useful content is online for one which is hard to utilize on the go, and is it really needed to go to a friends house and play a game instead of hanging with said friend?? Sorry someone please enlighten me on this gaming laptop top thing.. Don't mean to there's dump man I apologize for that I'm just yet to find the reasoning of the choice

Soo, lemme get something strait, you said in a ported box with the port directly behind the subs the air would escape without pressurizing the box, I got that, and it would help to cause over excusing and such case mechanical failure of the driver... But in a band pass box isn't it the idea for the sealed sided to help control that so that the ported side can more efficiently do it's job, with having to tune low to be able to play low without much worry? So my overall point is with the subs that far away from the port in his sketch how would it not pressurize the space at all before it left thru the port? Even if it does escape some without pressurizing it to full extent isn't the sealed section going to still yet do its job in helping reduce the chances of mechanical failure resulting in a still yet more efficient enclosure than a simple ported one? I'm kinda tired so words my not be as clear to you guys as they are in my own head but hopefully you get the point

Same brand totally different products That said gl on whichever you choose I hope my advice helps you narrow your choices down some,where as I would hate to see you put all the work into making that box and end up choking the woofers and not being satistfyed as I have been many times before

Why does anyone need a gaming laptop? For as damn expensive they are you can build a massive gaming desktop to run on a large moniter and still buy a regular laptop along with it.. Just my 0.02¢ But if your dead set optical has good info in his post
