posted an ad on craigslist earlier. "SMD DD-1 amp tunings- $10", and inside the ad read "distortion detector is NOT for sale". I checked back on it a little later, and the post was basically deleted, but was replaced with the word "FAIL". I deleted and reposted it. Just now, i went and checked on it, and the post was changed again. This time, the title was "SMD DD-1 for sale- $25", and inside read "distortion detector IS for sale". Why do I keep getting ghosted? Is this the craigslist staff getting bored and fucking with me?

i never once said you cant use a 2 channel amp to run subs....i said 2 channel amps are NOT made for running subs. adding a crossover is just a dumb idea for what youre trying to do. should have never tried helping a juggalo, youre all gay anyways.

2 channel amps aren't made for subs... if the amp cant produce the low notes you want, adding a crossover will not add them. A crossover either elimiates or boosts the frequencies you want. If you add a crossover to an amp that doesnt produce lows, then once you boost the lower frequencies to where its loud enough, then its all going to be distortion. Might damage your subs.

why dont you buy a new amp? one that's actually made for subs?

well that amp wasnt made for "lows", and adding an external x-over to it isnt gonna help your cause any. what are you trying to run through it?

just remember, if you're underpowering a sub, use a bigger box size to compensate for the wattage.

why didnt my first post help you? the SSD is gonna want ALOT more than 500 or 600 watts at 2 ohms...
