I believe in over kill my self. if you can afford it i would go biggest you can in order to give yourself head room for any future upgrades.

NOV 2011 with this profile. Cody WY. But been lurking for a few years prior. watching Steve Meades YouTube since 06ish.

I know the amp can push more than 900 into 2 ohm load. That's just where I have it set.

It's DMM I purchased at O'Reilly Auto. I figured my electrical should be ok for the amp turned down. I ran my old zx750.1 with a birth sheet rated at 930 wrms in to 2 ohms without the xs power batteries.

If it is an issue with the amp I want to test and make sure it's not a fault somewhere else. If it is the amp. Any one you could recommend on repairing?

I have Diyma oversized 0 gauge wire throughout. All grounds have been ground down to bare metal for both the big 3 and the amp/rear battery. Like I stated in the first post I have a XS D925 under the hood and a XS D2400 in the trunk. Stock alternator for now looking into a new one. I have a ground from front to rear batt and a ground to the rear strut bolt that I have sanded bare. Everything is tight. I'll monitor voltage at the amp tomorrow.

i used 2 ohm for equation making it roughly 900 watts. im in process of selling my 12's and not looking to push them too hard. No the amp is not hot at all when it goes into protect.

oops my bad. I set them with my DMM set at 42 ACV with 50hz tone.

Hey fellas i recently bought this amp and when i hook it up it turns on and works great...until i turn it up for roughly 3-5 minutets on a heavy bassed song it goes into protect. The gain is only roughly 1/4-1/3 up. No bass boost from deck or amp. I'm running Stinger HPM 3 rca's to the amp and have the ran down passanger side of vehicle with my power wires are on the driver side. I have performed my Big 3 have 2 runs of Zero front to back(1 neg 1 pos) XS power D925 under the hood and a XS D2400 in the trunk. Currently pushing 2 DC lvl 2 12's at 2 ohm load. Any ideas what could be going on?
