This is the magic of audio! You can have two amps of the same model that put out different power, coils of a different impedance, different electrical demands from the car itself, even something as simple as installation technique makes a difference. What works in one setup may not work in every setup no matter how hard you try and reproduce it. My car still has a slight dim with 500w and 230A of alt and two topped off bats. Why? Fuck if I know the voltage is rock solid and shit still flickers. Shit. Happens. Haha -drew Well said. I just don't want to be fucking up my car. But having a sound system does that regardless. =)

How do you know his "220" amp alt actually outputs 220 amps. Factory tested. 220amps at 4000rpm ground is probably my problem...there is no ground wiring, just what is mounted on the motor'.

Okay, I had 4 audiobahn in a sealed box a few days ago, I changed my set up and put 3 audiobahn in a ported box at 1 ohm, before the 4 audiobahn were at 3 ohms. The answer is probably obvious and I probably already know the answer...but ever since I put the ported box in, when my bass hits at like 4 dB and up, but lights will blink or dim down, even while driving. I have a suspicion I need to get another battery....I know it's not my alternator, for I had it tested 3 times, once on a shop machine. It's a 220 amp alternator. My electrical wiring consist of 0/1 gauge all around, my wiring is not lose, I already checked, I will look at my alt to see if I can add a 0gauge ground. I'm wondering if that's my problem... so if you guys/gals have any suggestions, I would like to hear them, Thank you for replying.

Knu is the best I've used....besides Shok wiring. Knu is good flexible wiring, priced good. Works phenomenal. I recommend it to everyone.

Ah.. yeah. it's the driver then, it's a sign of it being bad. It happened to my kenwoods...and my audiobahns... had them replaced...dealership said it was because it was over powered, clipping, etc...or a malfunctioned sub woofer. It will get worse, just don't touch them and they'll play fine...but I'd recommend you getting them replaced soon...for it's causing your amplifier to push harder...thus could hurt your amplifier in the long run.

Ah okay, I'll just go w the polk audio, I was looking at some polk audio 6.5...it'd be impossible to run this amp to just two speakers...it's just too much power so I'll split it up...or sell it and buy a 4 ch amp. after all the amplifier was from the 1997s.... So polk audio is good for interior speakers? because I heard a while back they blow really quick... and what's up with 5 way 6x9s?

So I'm looking for a new 6x9 brand that will be able to handle 400 rms of power. Amplifier: PPI PC2100 Precision Power. I appreciate all suggestions. - Trying to stay away from Rockford and kicker brands...I just blew a pair of rockford primes. Been looking at hertz...are those speakers good? I heard they could take a beating..
