so if i devided that one box for 2 subs will it affect the airspace? i dont have good experences with 2 subs in a single chamber box i got a box now that is about the same size as the one u put up there or a lil bigger that im going to try, its already carpeted and what knot so im gunna try it and see how it sounds and if it sounds good i'll try to size it down a lil bit and make a downfire out of it

hmm, the pioneer i got has built in speed volume control but i think i need the mic for it to work right i dont kno the true tech term for the speed volume thing to kno what to acually look for peripheral makes alot of shit for cars and im looking at some of there parts to see if they have an adapter just for that but i dunno what its acually called

terminals are kinda like these http://www.fixmyspeaker.com/ProductDetails.php?pid=132 i guess all i do is unsoilder the leads, unscrew the terminal and pull it out, slap this one in and soilder back up and should be good to go? or i was gunna just strip back some wire long enough to run threw the hole and back out and twist it around itself and then soilder it then try to get the terminal to screw down as much as possable? i wanna do it that way because i aint good with attaching leads back i dont think, i aint done it with woven leads so i unno how it will end up

well i hated to but i had to part with my mtx 5500 15's and i had no use for them and no room really so since my friend wanted something louder i traded them for 2 Soundstream VGW-10's, i kno it was a shitty trade but i was never gunna use the 15's and i wouldn't of got hardly any money out of em and i hate shipping shit so i just said ied just take the loss and get something out of it well now on to it, i need a good box for these, they dont like ported boxs, so that means i need a sealed box as small as i can get due to not much room in my truck with a car seat lol subs will be ran from a memphis pr1000.1 so it should be enough to give em 500rms, i listen to alot of rock, rap, n country so i want something that can play low if i can but still tight to go with the kick drum in rock anyways i just want something simple, not anything fancy just something that works and sounds good, i need it as small in width as i can get, lets say 24'' wide if i can keep it that small and still get 1cf out of it some how, hight aint that big of an issue i dont think, i might can face em upward and get some grills for em or something i unno i was gunna do a downfire box for em so i can lay stuff on top of box so i unno, maby i can turn what ever yall design into a downfire and should wang like hell anyways thankx

i dunno what u mean by "pre amp" preamp outputs are rcas, and to run speakers and tweets off a amp u will need some kind of bandpass or x10 highpass on a 4ch amp like a sundown or something, i dunno who all makes em like that tho but it has the option to run active inside the amp, so if u try to run tweets off one amp and mids off the other it will not turn out to good ok it looks like ur trying to run active without the processor to support it so u will prolly fry the tweets unless u get some kinda passive inline cross over to help split the signals i dont know if i make much sense with what im trying to say but its about the best i can put it really heres some help terms to clear up what ur tring to say preamps = rca outputs or "preouts" to run speakers without a inline crossover and use a digital one to split the signals and give you more adjustments is called running "active" to run speakers with a inline crossovers and have basic adjustments and settings is called running "passive" i hope this makes sense cause it took me a few yrs to make sense of it myself but for what u are trying to do will not work as intended in some cases, you will need a inline 3way crossover like this one ]http://img186.imageshack.us/f/img6038jv1.jpg/ i have one like this and it has the ability to run full active with it and i have done it before but its hard to adjust, but thats a good cheap 3way cross over, i love mine, you run your front, rear, and sub rcas into it and run your front, rear, and sub rcas to your amps but with this u can do it this way, front has a x10 frequency boost so u can run tweets with out a inline cross over past the amp, rear has a bandpass frequency setting that only lets your mids play certain frequencies, and subs and what knot this goes inline from headunit, 3way cross over, amps, now u can run 1 set of rcas like the front rcas to the front of this cross over and turn the switch on the left side to parallel and it will run same signal threw the processor and lets you use the other rcas for running fullrange like if ur speakers are a coax with a mid and tweet in one, and u can run your sub rcas threw it if u want to but i dont like mine hope this makes sense and helps you out

no, question is, 2 15's for 2 10's with amp, it was my amp but i sold it to her, i payed 80 for it and sold it for 50 and i aint got any use for 4 15's that are different so its the best i can do with no income

well i got 2 sets of 15's, 2 are mtx 5500 1544's dual 4ohm, the other 2 are mtx 8000 1504 single 4ohms and i got to thinking, i aint got enough power or money to get power to run both sets of 15's or the space for it so i was thinking i did a setup in my friends car with 2 soundstream 500rms 10's in a sealed box with a 500w bazooka amp(useto be mine but i sold it to her) and i was thinking about trading her 2 15's in either the ported boxs i built or a sealed prefab, or do a custom one for her celica, for her 2 10's with box n amp cause i aint got enough power to run the 10's and i had that same amp on the same 15's befor in my geo and it didn't push it that good so i would halfto find her a decent amp that takes 4guage that will push 2 300rms subs at around 4ohm or 1ohm, shes on a tight budget just like i am so i unno i do all her audio work for her cause for what best buy done she could have had a nicer setup, $200 for a 4guage rockford wireing kit and to run the wire in her car and rewire her subs, 1 mistake they done was try to fit 4guage in a amp that takes 8guage, they just cut off the strands, and they wired 2 dual 4ohm subs down to 1ohm on a 2ohm stable amp and she wondered why it sounded like shit i took out the subs, wired em to 4ohm, and readjusted her amp and cdplayer and it sounds a shit ton better but i think 2 15's would wang in that car, i was gunna do some custom work to it since i got time and just run em in a 2-4cf sealed box with some accents and a nice amp rack type deal so i guess why im gunna trade is cause i aint got enough room for 1 15 in my truck due to space and i need a car seat, and 2 8's just aint cutting it for bass so 2 10's in either that box or i build one with that amp for 2 15's, i dont need both sets cause when i redo my system in my truck it will be alot bigger and better also, plus im gunna put the 2 mtx 8000's in my geo off my memphis pr1000.1 and all thats gunna be in my truck is prolly the pioneer deck thats in my geo or my sony i unno and either some coax and i run 2 comp sets in my geo or w/e i have left over after i pick what will work in my geo so questions is 1. is this a decent trade due to what i have typed up there^ and 2. whats a decent amp that will do around 600rms or so @ either 1ohm or 4ohm that will work on 4guage wire i kno its a shitty deal but my 8000's are louder and i just dont need 2 sets of 15's just setting around

i was wanting to take there cheap speakers and make a set of floor model speakers but dunno how to port them to get best efficiency, i was just gunna either run em with a passave radiator in a sealed box, maby 2 8's, a 6&1/2 or 5&1/4, and a 3'' mid with a tweet, i got a pritty beefy rca home theature oldschool recever so it should push it pritty good, the 8's will be used as subs, 6&1/2 or 5&1/4 for midbass, and 3 or 4'' mid with a dome tweet or so
