you have pm back sir -
mine has no diff sound quality at all from what i can tell, and i rewired my uncles system to just one rca cable goin to his sony receiver and it sounds acually better than it did befor, and is kinda cool running it this way cause what ever your tv is set to the receiver gets the same audio signal, i think my tv has an fiber optic digital audio output also but i dont have a fiber optic cable
-
why dont u hook it to the digital audio out on the tv? thats how i have my surround sound hooked up and it plays the reciver from any audio source i have my tv turned to and it plays dolby digital also like this just one cable and wala, u can play ur logitechs on regular tv, or xbox or dvd, and i think all the new tvs have this output so it should work, it looks like a female rca plug thats brown, thats how mines hooked up

i got one of those boom sticks a couple yrs back just for the hell of it and i dont like it, i think it just has a mic in it oh, and on the boom stick instructions it says to put the boom stick in the middle of the car for an acurate reading, i dunno so much bout it, its been in my closet for about 2yrs or so but from what i understand about meters is, audio controls just measure how loud the system is audibly, ,but termlabs measure in how much pressure the system exerts, might be why theres so much controversy between the 2, aint an rta about the same thing as an audio control?

well i got bored yesterday so i hooked my zues 4406 up here inside the house to see what i could get out of it now understand that i have a rectifier that converts 110vac to 13.8vdc and i use it to test all my 12v stuff well i hooked it up and when i first turned it on it takes 1sec and goes into protect and for some reason the power light stays on and the red protect lite stays on, but for some reason last night the first time i hooked it up since i took it out my truck it was playing music while in protect mode off the front 2 channels pritty clean signal, but when i hooked my speakers up to the rear channels it was distored as shit so i dunno whats up with it i took the bottom of it off to look inside and it all looks brand new to me, no oxidied relays or caps, or anything that looks burnt for that matter does anyone kno of someone that i can have check out my amp and see whats wrong with it, it might be a simple $20 fix or maby somethin higher but i loved this 4ch to death, it played the hell out of my 6&1/2's, and when it went bad i had my comps wired to front channel and my coax wired to rear channel, so it was running 4ohm on all channels and i had it running with 4guage pos and neg, 14guage speaker wire, i mean it was playin fine that day and then it does this, it dont get hot or anything so i dunno wtf is wrong with it so plz give me some more info on some place that might take a look at it for me for cheap n can fix it for not that much, i hate to spend $150 for a new amp when this one might not have that much wrong with it plz help

thats not a relay kit, its the hi/low setup, that black box has a relay in it that tells the bulb when to move in and out in either high beam or low beam, thats why there just 1, and ur hid ballasts run off that one plug with 3 prongs on it, that gives ur ballasts power and tells the relay to move the bulb out for high beam my kit has it setup to were u have a lil ring terminal that u would ground to ground the ballast and just run power from that lil plug thing so yea thats the high/low harness, not a relay harness there diff a relay harness has a pos and neg wire that goes from ur battery, then has a plug that goes into your stock harness and then ur hid high/low harness plug goes into that, and it tells the hids to come on and gives em more power, it kinda bypasses the factory wires and goes str8 off the battery, it just takes current from stock plug to tell it when to turn on kinda like a remote wire i hope this makes sence, i'll take some pics of my setup tommrow and show u what it all is and how it works if u need me too but are u trying to figure out how they work without a relay kit or if you would need one? you would only need one if u was going to be running a 55watt kit, bixenon doesnt really matter cause it takes so lil current to move the lil bulb back n forth all u need the power for is the bulb i hope im helping somehow, oh, and navi what color hids do you have? and if u have any more hid questions steven has some good websites that he goes to that has all kinds of indepth info on how hids work and what knot
-
hids dont pull hella current like stock or aftermarket halogens do hids work off about the same principle as florescent lights do and neon type setups they take voltage in, and then boosts it to a higher voltage to excite the xenon gas inside the bulb and u have light, vs a halogen that uses resistance in a filament that gets hot to produce light hid ballasts bull around 35-55w depending on the type kit u run but are still lower wattage than most halogens and are more efficent my hid kit has one plug that goes into ONE stock light bulb harness and gives the bulbs power, and u have a pos wire that runs to the battery to run the high beam relay that moves the bulb in and out from low beam/high beam even my maxcar hids didn't need a relay kit, they just have spade plugs that go into stock bulb harness and that gives the ballasts power just look at it this way, all the ballast is is a transformer, takes low voltage and makes higher voltage, its pritty simple really and my kit is the h4 8000k high/low kit with 35w ballasts it comes with a wireing harness for the highbeam relay only, the ballasts run off one of the headlights harness plugs and sends the current threw the provided wires to turn them on, all u gotta do is run the ground wires to a ground were they go into the ballasts and hook a pos wire to ur battery for the highbeam relay and ur good to go you may halfto modify the rubber boot for the bulb to fit tho, i had to cut mine a lil bit for them to fit i think mine took a lil over 30min to install and that includes takeing my other hids out and putting these in, but will varry depending on cars but when u get ur hi/low kit if its like mine u halfto twist off the reflector on the bulb and install it like you would a regular headlight, then put the rubber boot on, and then install the bulb but make sure u have atleast 4inches of clearence behind the bulb to install so u dont bend the bulb when installing it and u should be good to go hope i made sence of this topic, and hope this helps, oh and if its bixenon then i dunno how those kits work, a bixenon like futurevisionhid.com sells has 2 hid bulbs on one piece, one for highbeam and one for low beam, but i think what u get from ddmtuning is like mine were the bulb moves in and out for low beam and high beam

http://www.flatwirestore.com/mm5/AFW.html at bottom of page it says it ranges from 18awg to 12awg, the sample piece u get is 18awg haha, they even got it in component video wire, http://www.flatwireready.com/products/video_products/component_wire.html now thats pritty cool, and its made from ofc copper too so that makes it better also
-
its paper thin wire that u can use for audio, networking, electrical and some other thing, but it looks cool as shit they have a free sample with a dvd on there website witch is www.flatwireready.com and i just got mine today, i dont kno how the hell u use it but could work pritty good thats what it looks like, heres some more pics front stage surround sound in a 5.1 setup i got my sample today and it looks pritty damn cool, it comes with a maby 4'' piece of flatwire and a product dvd for FREE, so u cant beat that whats yalls input on this? would be cool if it could work in car stereo type setup tho, but in the home and u can paint over it would make systems alot cleaner but if u forget were the damn wire was and u got a loose connection somewere then i dunno what to tell u lol

i had a good set of maxcarR hids that are pritty high quality and i gave $200 for them and they retail for around $300 and they were h4 8000k low beam 35w and i just got me a set of ddmtuning h4 35w 8000k hi/low hids and i cant really tell much diff between the maxcar hids ecept for them haveing high beams, my maxcar's are a lil brighter but these ddm's get me by with inspections so im good there but all in all $64 for a good set of hids with lifetime warranty u cant beat it, i just might get another set for my geo just for the hell of it but i want them as white and natural light look as i can get anyways they get my business and my kit shipped when they said it would and got here the day they said they would so i like that from a company
