well i was playin around with my system one day tuneing it n my mids n highs can play rather low freqs pritty well but its gunna be hard tryin to set my 8's up to run midbass bandpassed so my 4ch ied set to flat or all pass as steve calls it for my mids n highs, n my 2ch for midbass to highpass n cut the hpf down to around 80htz n then subs from there how do i go about settin this shit just turn the gains up n play with it that way? im goin for sql with what i got, n why im doin active is i like alot of rock n country n my passave xovers wont let em play enough range to sound good n they was in my doors for 2yrs n i never thought about water gettin in the door threw window so when i was playin around wit my truck i took door pannel off n took out mid n looked at the xover n it was all rusted up n shit n there about to go out on me so ima run it this way n should get a louder, cleaner output from it, with the passave xovers the 6&1/2's wont get loud at all off my 150.2 just by themselvs, the lil bulb started glowin like hell so im gunna do it this way it sounds good the way it is now but its just not playin the freqs its susposto, or if not run my kickers i'll throw my polk dbs in there n see what they can do anyways goodluck on those speaker rings steve, would be a bitch with a router tryin to do all those intriguit cuts for the basket on those 6&1/2s n would be cool if rf would have did an all black p1 8 with grey letters on front so u could break it up with some gray vinyl n what knot, i cant wait to see how its gunna look bro

y not run rear rcas to the other amp? should help with rca voltage too n ya i kno how ya feel, i went from a 2-4v rca out to a 6.5v rca preout n its a big diff, my next change will be goin to full active with 3 amps, 1 4ch for mids n highs, 1 2ch for midbass, and 1 mono for subs, should sound alot better n cleaner than it does now goodluck with what ur doing n hope it turns out for the better

y not split it off from 4 rcas to 2 rcas with 2male 1 female rca y adapters u can find at radioshack, n run one set of rcas from front output to one amp, n then rear outputs to another amp n then subs n so on, u can still use the headunits internal amp when runnin rcas also ied go that route, thats wut i did, n then just adjust accordingly to how u want em to be xovered at n u'll be good u take one of these for front channel on ur amp n hook left rca from front rca output from headunit n then plug the male ends into the front rca inputs on the first amp on front side n then take another one n take right rca from front output on headunit n plug into this one n then hook the other 2 ends into the rear input on the first amp n ur good to go do the same thing with the other amp with rear rcas n u'll be cool hope this helps, ive done it a few times n heres a link to ebay for 10 of em for like $20 http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/RCA-1-Female-to-2-M...id=p4634.c0.m14

should work, u can buy a max link n run ur signal into it n then out to the sub amps n they will all be tuned the same, so i see nothing wrong with it, but i wouldn't try it without maxlink cause it can run pos n neg outputs from it so im not that sure on it but 4 amps on 2 subs should work, what kinda batterys n how many u got?
