  1. thanks for the vote!

  2. Just got this playing last night so there's still some tuning to do. I'll get a better vid soon.
  3. to be honest I didn't like the first song at all, but there two are legit
  4. thanks for the vote man!

  5. this was as far as i got with the power wire last night, i'll post more as it happens only took a couple pics of the box build, I actually built it a few months ago for my civic, but i've decided to go with 4 sa-8's now so we're using this box for the sti. I'll be wrapping the box in charcoal colored carpet to match his trunk liner
  6. I figured some of y'all might like to see this car. it belongs to a good friend of mine and I just started doing the install for him yesterday, still waiting on his head unit to come in so it should be done next week. equipment: pioneer avh-p4300dvd head unit kicker ix500.4 4 channel for mids n highs kicker Qs 6.5" components for front doors kicker ks 6.5" coax's for rear doors audioque aq1200d for subs 2 sundown sa-8's knukonceptz wiring sub enclosure - 1.08 cubes net tuned to 36hz on to the pics these components look pretty sick how hot it was in my shop when I got started the factory speakers in this car actually look pretty legit front components installed, sadly I had to mount them coax, due to the massive size of the kicker tweeter it wouldn't fit in the sail panel where the stock tweeter was. and he didn't want me cutting any holes to custom mount them. these crossovers are massive, they're almost as big as the 4 ch amp
  7. if you have the room these woofers sound much better in a larger box. i've never understood why mtx recommends such a small box. i have two in an 8.33cuft box tuned to 25hz, sounds great.
  8. That's a good head unit, Rockford made some bad ass hu's a few years back. I have a rfx9420, it was the top of the line unit the last year they made head units. if you can find one of those they are awsome. It has no internal amp since it's geared more for sq, but has 8 volt RCA outputs and a copper plated chassis. The face is black chrome with all blue illumination, it's looks sexy....
  9. Yea they are dual 4's, i liked those old 8000's back in the day they were pretty bad ass. I love these 9500's for daily subs, they will pound all day long and sq is great, they take the 1500's like a champ, barely get warm at all when really pushing 'em, but they are no Spl woofer that's for sure. I've never been able to get great #'s out of them. I've had this pair since '05 in 5 diff vehicles and boxes. And the nice thing about 'em is that no matter how you tune the box they will always pound the low notes. You can get much better woofers for less money though, only reason I bought these was because I got the pair for $400 back in '05 when they first came out.
  10. actualy it helps alot, lol. If I was going to keep the system in the car I would just epoxy the windows in the same way a windshield is done. Well I may do that anyway, not sure yet
  11. sure is, lol, the stock latches to open and close the windows could not keep the windows closed at all
