that truck does do 160 but i think those 8500 10's makes the diff tho, that box is way to damn small for those jackhammers, im not dissin anything mtx ever made but they can do better with that setup, its more for show but i kno those things can get louder they had that truck on mythbusters befor tryin to see if vibration would set off a gun, n they almost smoked those things, the glue started meltin on the vc n started smokeing lol but i think 4 10's for just midbass is doin the higher numbers tho, but i wanna hear it sometime, i love mtx products, but pimp my ride made that jackhammer look like a joke imo i think a 135db in an infinite baffle setup was pritty dman good imo, but they never ran a good amount of power to em to see what they could do "rediculace(sp) bass from a 300lb woofer" i mean xzibit had 6 12's in that one car he had n said that jackhammer was loud, i dont think they try to make shit work right imo but ied like to hear 4 of those 24'' square things ina wall tuned to 15htz haha, can u say earthquake? but not to point any fingers, it takes alot of skill to build a sub in general, but one above 18'' n make it preform is beyond me, but some of the bigger subs than 18's look kinda wimpy imo, and looks like if u throw rms on em they would botttom out really bad n burn up i wished mtx would make 18's again instead of 22 or better, i think the only 18 mtx ever made was a mtx 8000, n they was only a couple then, i seen one ina book somewere or on the net i think, it had mtx 8000 in green letters on the magnet n had it hooked up to 4 mtx1501d's, looked badass imo but those were the days wished they could keep the oldschool quality n put it with newschool looks n then most companys would still be in buisness lol

im not dissin ur box or setup at all, but run 2 rft1000's to those 2 15's n put those 2 12's in another car n build a bigger box n u'll more than likely see the same affect, i useto mix subs around but thats to good of a lookin box for this type setup, ied take out that partition and make it into a devider n port one side on one side n so forth, n u'll prolly be as loud but when did they make those rf's? n that p2 looks weird but good box job, n ya those are toilet flanges, i might try that sometime, is urs just one str8 pipe or u got elbows inside? n another thing, if u put a y piece at the end of the port could u use that to help tune it better? i wanna build a ported box n i think this might be easyer to tune, but ied get a thick piece of pvc n round the inside of it for air flow

just a lil bit off topic, but sence i run 8'' subs as midbass that play in the 100htz range would that change a class? i aint ever competed befor but wanted to kno, there not hooked up yet tho, i was playin around wit boxs, n never hooked up back up, might do it tommrow tho

is there any way u can video tape this somehow? what do u mean by farting? and what kinda amp u runnin to it n what wattage sub? n what ohm load? all of those ?'s will affect the said farting racket

and another note, the big three helps the battery charge faster, like unhook ur battery for a couple hrs, n then hook back up n check voltage, when i was doin by big three once i got done i was charging @ 15.2v n then went down to 14.4 or so, unless u need it i wouldn't try to go over 15v anyways unless u got a heavy load on ur electrical but overkill helps, most factory wires are 4guage anyways, but mine were around 12guage or smaller so it made a diff, but aint it a big 4 acually? or will a big 4 help? big 4= 1.battery pos to alt pos output 2.battery neg to chassis ground 3.chassis to engine block ground n 4. engine block to battery neg? will this make a diff helping current flow threw sheet metal?

what kinda rcas do u have? i had a set of stinger ones, the blue kind that were good but went shit when i started to redo my system, n they was 4ch rcas, but i got some kickers n that all fixed, how do u have ur eq hooked up, front rca goin to it n then out to amp? i wanna get a memphis 1/2 din eq to play wit but unno why they aint set up better

ive had a kenwood, clarion, pioneer, sony, panisonic, and alpine, but some of the lower end, n some higher of others, but it all depends on what u really want, imo i like pioneer due to the multi band eq's, every other headunit ive had only had bass n trebble, some had mid to, n the alpine i had had to many damn things i had to go threw to get it to sound right but had hella power output, but got really hot tho

did u ground em comein out of eq or just headunit? does the newer pioneers do this to? if so someone needs to have them fix this cause pioneer makes some good units but this thing sucks, im lucky my 860mp hasn't had any ground noise yet, but my 680 has it somethin fierce, but has to do with rca's also, i wanna kno why it does this tho, but rap a wire around the outside part of the rca n ground it at headunit, u just need to ground one rca and u'll be good

x2^^ i got 2 mtx 5500 1544's n when i ran em off my memphis pr1000.1 my amp does 1000rms@1ohm n they are 300rms subs and around 600peak n they was handleing 500rms each and got stupid loud n low for what they was in my truck, but i was to scared i would break em, mtx has a weird way of makein subs the new ones the cone is glued to the spider/voice coil, n then a "dust cap" cone lookin piece over top, n there bad to break loose from spider, ive seen like 14 12's in ol bois shop that the glue came loose from spider n cone went flyin every were, so i kinda babyed em, but a guy on here has about 1000rms goin to one of em n it aint welded yet so i might change em out again n see how it works out, n run one mtx 8000 15 in my geo but all in all, dd seems like a cool company, i just seen a lil 1508 with my own eyes n for the output from that little thing dd gets my respect for makein sutch good stuff, im thinkin bout runnin dd sometime but im tryin to stay as loud as i am or louder with same amp
