umm i wondered somethin, why did mtx put freq, eq, gain instead of freq, bass boost, and gain? or does eq do somethin diff, on my 500d it was bass boost or seamed like it, can u take a pic of the bottom of it so i can see the output?

my buddy switched out a stock lincon truck stereo and hooked it up in his workshop and it was jammin, now ford i dont kno if they use amps to power there shit or not but i say try it and see what it sounds like, it wont hurt the speakers but it wont sound as loud and clear without an amp, but when u do it wire it normal like u would to an amp, input the speaker wires to the xover n then to the seperats, it will work but most have a lower end rms than others, like mine are 5-75w rms and 150 max but i had em ona sony 4 ch that put out round 80-100w rms i unno it said 600w? and sounded good, so ied say try it, but when u start hearin clippin(distortion) ied turn it down so it dont mess anything up, should work fine till then, how long till u get amp and what kinda componits u got?

umm, whats the diff between kicker ks 6.0's and kicker ks 65.2? i think thats what mine said when i got em, and if i get 2 sets how much of a discount will u give cause i already got one in the truck ima do 2 in my honda, 2 sets for 150shipped? or somethin close cause 85 is about how much i can get the coax for so im down for this shit but the diff prolly the tweets, are these 3/4 tweets or 1'' or the size of mid cause i need 6&1/2's and the boxs look like they read 6''? im prolly lookin to buy 2 sets maby 2 more come tax time, lets make a deal

are these dual 4ohm and what kinda power did u have on em? and whats teh most rms they will hold, my buddy ran a memphis 4k to 2 of em and it pounded but im thinkin a new 9001 mtx amp for em, i want to use my mtx 8000's but there single 4ohm and my amp dont rly put out enulf at 2ohm for both but i'll see what i can do but i hate to get rid of my 8000's cause i got em at a steal with the box,the newer ones with chrome cones in perfect condition and a audioenhancers sealed box but i aint got room for shit to set, but i'll see what i can do to get me a set of these cause my buddy had one dual 4ohm pushed by 2 mtx 942w amps and it was flexin like hell, if i cant come up with the money good luck with the sell anyways, bump for some good subs

not to thread jack but i been askin this same question for some time, now do u only hook up the pos's of the amps and ground the amps to diff parts or can u ground em to the rear battery and will a run of neg make that much of a diff?

well ohms and watts work hand in hand kinda sorta, like my amp, its 1000w@1ohm and is stable at that ohm load, but tipicaly the lower in ohms the more power u will get but sometimes can give u a distorted signal and fry somethin, but anywho the lower ohms the less resistance the amp has on pushin its raited power thats why like my amp for example is i think 600wrms @4ohm, 800wrms @2ohm and 1000wrms @1ohm, the lower the ohms the less resistance on the amp witch means more power but its not safe to drop a 2ohm stable amp down to 1ohm just to get more power cause it might seem like its pushin more witch it is but its distorted and starts throwin the 12v signal into it witch gives off the clipped signal or so i read, thats why its best to get a amp that will push what u need at the ohms u have, now rms means (Root Mean Square) witch means usally a sub thats 500wrms is somewhat 1000w max but by max is the highest clean signal it can have without blowing, like u can give a 100w speaker 500w but it cant distort or bottom out or ur screwed, thats why its best to keep ur ohms on ur sub and an amp that can push sufficiant power at the ohm load ur lookin at, the higher ohm load is good and makes ur amp run cleaner n cooler but may strain a bit on sorts, i hope this has helped u and if not then i unno i tryed my best lol, good luck with learning, smd has some of the best teachers around

i dont kno if anyones asked this befor but is the t15k like a digital amp wihtout analog dials to turn the gains up and down or is that set threw the 360? i was just wondering if each channel is set indapendantly(sp) and good luck with the hole wireing job i bet its gunna look like a spider web to start with but when it gets one it will look factory, killer fiberglass jobs mayne wish i had that kinda skill, and can u make a vid of just mids like u did with the honda i wanna see what the nabors would say about that, and i bet that sheetmetal on the door will flex like a bitch u gunna brace it internally or the hushmat gunna be enulf? i guess u already thought of that, cant wait to see this done, slowly but surely perfect awakes

i got a set of kicker ks 6&1/2 componits and there clear as hell but the polks have better midbass i got the db6500's but if ur goin kicker try the sr or rs line the grey ones they look like a beast but the ss's should sound good tho im thinkin of goin all kicker on my next build after hearing my buddys system, hes got 2 10'' kicker comps ina sealed box with a kicker 200.2 and it pounds for 10's, i was reseting his amp n doin some mantinence(sp) and when the song got to the low bass my face was like it was shakein the hell out of the back seats and flexin the trunk like nothin ive seen out of 2 10's, lol but back on topic ied go kicker, i think the ks is more clarity but the ss should kick out some killer midbass and vocals to, i hate to say it mines so damn loud it hurts my ears i had to turn my amp down from it there really efficent with power so u dont rly need much mine hold "150" max each n i got em wired parallel with some kicker ds 6.5 coax in the back and its loud n clear off a memphis 150.2, so ied say kicker sence u already got all kicker anywho, hope this helps man and they should keep up with those l7's great i dont have any problem with my bass over powerin em and they get loud inside and outside from a distance

ive never had a turbo befor but ive seen em befor, does it bolt up to the throttle body or do u halfto get some kinda pipeing for it to work and aint u gotta get a new header for the exaust flow to work? cause if im not mistaken doesnt the exaust turn the turbine to induce suction threw the intake pipe witch indought produces increased air flow n so on and how much boost did he say it put out? my motors got alot of miles on it i dont want to fuk it up just want that get with it when i want to and have that kool as shit sound as it changes gears, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa psssssssssssssss lol
