ya that headunit is da shyt! n ya that memphis amp is a beast, pushs 1000wrms i dont kno the true output of it cause it says in the birth that its 1000wrms n 1000wmax n im kinda puzzled, gp since u got the same amp on your 15's do u kno the max rms output of it n would that 400w memphis 4ch be good for my setup cause its the same size as my 1000d n it would look alot cleaner on top with the same stuff, n with your pr 15's do they get hot with that amp cause i was thinkin on gettin some myself?

thanks i would of took pics of the box build but i didn't think to when i was doin it, took round 4hrs to build the box n round 2&1/2 to 3hrs to install it n run all the wires n such, beats pritty damn hard for a sealed box n plus no one knows wuts in it till i tell em, thinkin bout takein the 5500's n switchin em out with some other 15's, i was thinkin memphis m3d4 15's, kicker comp vr 1544's, or some mtx 7500 1544's, ive got the amp turned down but im still afraid ima blow my subs cause there 300rms, 600max i think but mtx said they was 900max so i unno, n im pushin em with around 500w rms so i unno, i dont rly beat at em hard but i try to do let em slump from time to time, lol, thankx for checkin out my build n commets welcome

lmao@ this shit, i hate ppl that go out n buy some good quality of shit n "try" to show off there skillz with it n end up frying everything because of not enulf current flowing, ive seen this to much n talked to "walls" bout shit like this befor like a guy i went to school with, he built a box out of osb plywood thats used for outside buildings(kinda looks like lil flat pieces of wood glued together) n had a sony 444w hooked up to em with 2 sets of 12guage stranded home electrical wire straight to the battery with no fuse cept wut was in the amp n it sounded like pure shit n i told him to run atleast 8guage to it n hes like nah its workin i dont want nothin else, im like :-Xpfft well when ur settin ina burnt up car somewere dont ask me for no help, lol, well to make a long story short i know a guy that i met one night that was runnin 4 04 kicker l7 15's ina ported wall(dont kno the specs) n he had 4 ma audio hk802's 4400w amps with 12 batterys n he was only runnin 2 amps that night on all 4 subs n his shit stayed at 13.9v give or take a volt n it was wangin hard plus the neon n he said that he locked up 2 new alts with those amps befor he got his batterys n it was the best thing he ever did n i beleve it to, well dnt want to talk off into the blue wit this shyt but all i kno is u can say u told him so n if he fuks up those subs from the underpower or fry the amps witout enulf current flow then i say just laugh at him like i did my buddy n after he learns the hard way show him how its done right n he will feel like a dick for the rest of his life ;D anywho good luck wit it

the one i use is coustic, but try kicker, mtx, clarion, some good name brands, i messed up buyin an offbrand one for like $15 n it messed up so i baught the coustic one, it has spererate levels for the front n rear left n right speakers, i can turn each up or down or reverce the phase of the right ones, i payed i think round 75-80$ for it, but i wouldn't spend no less than $30 or so n thats if u buy it off one of ur friends or somethin, good luck wit the project

ya, n some rcas, u need a little flathead screwdriver of a little philips for screwing down the speakerwires, just make sure u read the book first befor u hook it up cause it aint labled witch one is pos n witch one is neg, i took a magic marker n wrote it on mine to make sure, but u can do wut ever with urs, its a good box n all u gotta do is run the speakerwires from ur wireing harness off your headunit into that n then run the rcas from it to your amps n ur done,but ued get alot more flexablility in your system with a 3way crossover tho, it can take one set of rcas n split it into 3 sets, front, rear, n sub with varable electronic crossovers to fine tune it, the cross over would be ur best bet but the box will work to, good luck with ur system n hope i helped you, bump on

no, it takes your speaker wires n turns em into rca's with gain levels on each rca, u take ur front speaker wires n your rear ones off your headunit n wire em to it then hook your rcas up to it for extra amps, it turns your front n rear speaker wires into 2 extra sets of preamp outputs, use the one out of it for subs, n those other 2 for front n rear amps, but it works anyway u do it it just dont convert it into a lowpass output tho, but u can get a 3way cross over n it will allow 1 set of rcas to be converted into 3 diff outputs, the one that comes out of ur headunit would be a fullrange rear output n u wire it to the cross over n u can set it to eather power a front channel amp n a sub amp or front, rear, n sub amp, mines got a cross over for front speakers, rear, n sub, but if u dont want a cross over get that converter box, it basicly turns your highinput wires into low level rcas to work with your amp, it comes with a book to show u witch wire goes were, hope that helps, most of the time u cant go by whats on the site cause they just type it out to make it sound like a big tech breakthrew but its really simple once uve done it, good luck

x2^^^ my coustic xover only needs one set of rcas in n does 3 out, front-rear-sub wit diff freq's for each, that'll be your best bet is a xover

well there not full dimming tho, ive got a mtx 500d pushin 450rms@4ohm n they dim a lil bit every once ina while im just wondering if the 1000d will make a huge diff with the extra power cause ima have the gain turned down anyways so the full 1000 aint gunna be used cause i dotn want to melt my 15's, they only 300rms, i was gettin the 1000d so if i wanted to upgrade then all i had to do is get diff subs, but with the 1000d n the 600x4 i dunno, or its just my headlights maby, i got some 4100k 100w healights, i forget the name, silvanna or apc i forget i got em from this guy i kno that owns a car audio/video shop, n would adding another cap make a diff? run my regular stinger 1f with another one of the blue ones with digi volt meter? i was gunna push one on the 1000d n my old one on the 600x4, n ya i got a vold meter in my headunit, the pioneer premire dehp 680mp has a digi volt meter as one of the ent settings so im aware of it, it dont drop no lower than 12.6 or 12.5 somethin when im poundin so its prolly just my headlights or the cap aint charged, i lost my charg bulb thing that came with it when i got it so i gotta find another, if u guys kno were to get one thated rly be a great help to cause ive took it out of my geo, put it in my honda, then took it out of the honda, put it back in my geo then now in my truck, so i dont think she's charged tho, but i dunno, i rly need dat fukin bulb :'( :^

if i was you ied upgrade to a aftermarket headunit n go with rcas instead of that stinger box n use the crossovers in the amps, but ive never had that with a stock headunit, what ied do is set the bass on the headunit to 0 n then turn the radio up till it distorts then back off a bit till its clear n loud then turn ur gain up till it starts humming then back off it a bit then turn the bass boost up till it starts popping then back off of it (on the amps not the stinger box) keep the gains on that all the way up, does ur stinger box thing use speakerwires then go to rcas or is it somethin diff?

are u runnin with the high level inputs or a linelevel to rca box to the amp? n im guessin sence the remote is wired to the acc ur amp dont turn off till the switch so dats prolly why it keeps hummin with the car not runnin, ummm i dotn mean turn it all the way down just turn it all the way up till it starts hummin n then back off till it quits, thats wut i did n aint had anymore noise sence

ima be runnin a memphis pr1000d and a 600watt sony 4ch with a stinger 1f cap, will my stock alt run them both with 0guage off the batt or do i gotta do a upgrade to the alt, i dont kno the amp of my stock alt thats why im askin cause ive heard alot of ppl sayin that caps suck n its better to get an extra battery but i dont kno if my stock could charge it to, im runnin a mtx500d now @4ohm pushin my 2 5500 1544's n at some music peaks the headlights dim, i dotn kno if its cause i got aftermarket headlights or what, would it be better to run without a cap than with it?
