does it put out alot of excursion like some of those test vids i seen on youtube? they look loud as shit but i dunno what they need to get down, n those 802sx's are a beast also, u gunna try n get it to 17v sometime? ied get another 15.4 n run it 1ohm @ 16-17v, i seen a guy run 4 kicker l7 15's off 2 802sx's and it got down really good and hit mad lows, it was in a 2000 blazer walled off at bpillars with diamond plate, ied like to do a loud setup like most of these ppl but i guess i'll stick with what i got for now, 1000w n 2 15's is ok so far, it might do 135 i think but sounds good for me, anyways can i see pics of ur setup, or u got any vids of it?

this shit dont make sence, ok if the wire runnin from front battery to rear battery is (cut, split or what knot) and shorts out it will trip the front fuse but how will it trip the back one cause it will only trip if the wire is shorted out from the rear fuse to battery in the lil bit of wire there, i useto do electrical work on houses and thats why there only 1-2 or so breakers on one circuit because if the wire gets shorted out or what in the line it will trip the hole thing, but that might be a lil diff, why dont someone take a line of wire 8guage or so and run it outside between 2 batterys, put a fuse at front battery and one at back n make a ground wire between em, and strip it back, and srip a pice of the pos between the batterys and short it out and see witch fuses blow if both do or not, cause a friend of mine had a system n when they took it out they didn't take out teh front fuse and it was 150-250amp fuse and didn't blow and the wire was on bare metal in the trunk and the front fuse melted but didn't blow, and some agu fuses have 3 seperate fuse points, and i blew one side, but the fuse still worked sence the other 2 pieces was still intacted lol, but anyways i dont see the need in 2 fuses but sence theres 2 battery than 1 normally i can see how cause u get more amprage with 2 batterys than 1 so that current flow goes up so double fusing the power wire is a lil over kill but will save ur equitment so i say do it, and when fuseing between rear battery to amp ied put a fuse with the amps fuse rateing or like if its got 4 30amp fuses ied do a 100amp fuse so the fuse will blow befor the ones in teh amp, i like to fuse a lil bit below the amps fuse rateing just incase, anyways good luck

why not run 1/0 to a reducer and step it down to 4guage? and why would a 2000d need 4guage unless its 4 4guage inputs? anyways hope that helps

i was wondering somethin about port tuneing, i was searching some places about how to make a ported box and some said what u want ur low freq to be and cutoff freq to be, now how do u make a cutoff point in a ported box? ied like to do somethin to my box to tune it down to 32htz, and if a sub can play down to 19htz what would be a good freq for the box? its tuned to 38htz now and doesnt play lowbass at all, and sorry to thread jack just my question kinda went with urs and didn't want to make another post cause this might come up in some of ur questions down the road also, and are aeros easyer to tune than slot ported? oh and u can use re enclosure calculator, thats what most ppl use here i think

lmao, my friend from work had a alero with one hell of a system in it, 8's in kick pannels, 2 6&1/2's in each door, 6x9's in back, and 3 inverted 12'' maaudio subs with ps2 molded into air bag, and what knot, u can do a big system in one but hers sounded like shit lol, hers had a tubbed trunk and what knot

what kinda amp, and i unno bout fuseing between batterys in the back ive not seen it done much but fuse it around 8-12'' from front battery and the same from rear battery, and if u want to fuse between batterys ied use 300amp fuses, but no need to fuse from rear battery to amp, and ied do from 800 0guage to 4 so if u want to expand a dist block looks cleaner than alot of wires ran from one battery imo, and just make sure u ground ur rear batterys good and ive heard not to ground both batterys in the same place but also heard its good to ground in same place cause it doesnt use as much wire but for dual batterys ied try to do it to a good piece of metal n make sure its sanded good, and run one wire from the rear battery preferbly ied do it (front battery to rear 800, then to the 1400, then to amp) if its a big amp but if its smaller around 1000-2000w ied do it the 1400-800, but anyways 0guage from front batter to rear 1400, then 0guage to 800, then 0guage to dist block for amp, and same for ground, but take 0guage from the 1400 n ground it n tie it in with the 800 to a dist block for amps and should work fine, thats kinda how i got mine and it works good, sorry for the long post but tryin to get all the options out there, and hope this helps and good luck

not really all u could get with 1 dual 4ohm is 2ohm or 8ohm, now if u had 2 wired in parallel then ya u can get 1ohm but not with just 1, hope that answers ur question, anyways what kinda power u lookin at feedin that? n u think they can handle 2000rms daily? ied like to get a set cause they look beefy as hell and should get down but most ppl i seen taht have em aint runnin enulf power to get em really goin, i was gunna get 2 15.4's and a rft4000bd or 2 15.2's and 2 rft2000bd's for a setup but dunno if they can handle full rms or not?

not to thread jack but ive wondered somethin, if i got another computer and an external hd (was lookin at gettin a laptop or somethin with 500gb exteral hd, but anyways if i got another comp and wanted to use my ipod on it and it already has music on the ipod and on the other comp not the new one, is there a way to load the music from one itunes to another? i kno ima transfer music from that one hd i already got to the external but how do i get music on another itunes without loadin it the normal way and haveing to halfto set ganre all over again cause it took me around 2-3hrs to get my itunes libary(sp) organized right and dont want to do it over again, plz help on this so if anyone else would like to kno can from this topic also, and once again not tryin to thread jack

so if ur doin a clamshell with all thread does it mean u halfto twist nuts all the way to the baffle then to the other side? looks like it would be a bitch threadin those nuts all the way down the allthread would take a while but ya the strenght is there and looks cool, i got to thinkin about it, cant u put lugnut covers over the end of the allthread to "pritty" it up a lil? get some of those spike lugnut covers like they use on big rigs would be sick, and to the sinking washers, what if u just used this we used em when i worked at a furniture factory for levelers and it worked good, so couldn't you just drill a hole, screw that into thole, n then run the allthread threw it for a cleaner look?, ied put a nut n washer on backside also just for it backin back out

i built a 2cf ported box for one of my mtx 5500 15's and with it faceing twards the trunk it didn't sound that good, but when i faced it forward into cabbin it got alot cleaner n sounded alot better, ima try to do a sealed box sealed off from the trunk some how and run my other 2 15's and see how that sounds, i like sealed boxs cause there alot easyer to build than ported cause i cant tune good but ported sounds alot better tho, and to guys that can pritty much throw together a ported box n it hit lows n sound good i got much respect cause its not as easy as ppl think, anyways those re's should get down pritty good and box looks good, hope the best to you for ur build

these are the custom ones with dual 2ohm i think cause the only ones ive seen was quad 1ohm like that, and i really think that sub is not all that practical cause when all said and done its more like a beefy 10-12'' sub with a 18'' footprint, cause all that basket for such a lil magnet, that sub aint but around 1800 watts or so they said in the memphis book, for the price ied just get a mojo 15 cause the lvs's are to big for what they do, im not downing memphis but they should of made em more beefy with a tripple stacked magnet with 3''vc and stiff spiders and woven tinsels, imo ied rather have some mojo's than that sub, but for the wow factor of a sub thats taller than it is round i would sound good but without a sweet box with plexi so u could see that motor asembly its basicly useless, but thats just my opinion, but still a sickass woofer none the less edit: heres a vid of one i found on roe http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/Mem...dio/lvs18.1.wmv

whats the best u can do on one amp? ied like to have another cause i cant seem to find em anymore cept the 500d, and does it come with the orignal box? n did u get it from a memphis dealer?

most comp sets are 4ohm n most add on tweets like that are 4ohm so that will give u a 2ohm load wired in parallel (pos to pos and neg to neg), and should work fine with most amps and i think it will work good for what u want, hope that helps

i was gunna get a set of projectors like urs but ima just go with diamond clear replacements just for the fact that hids do not require projectors to work properly and the reason i dont want projectors is the ones for my truck aint the right bulb type nore are what i can use properly. thus far is why im goin with these they are factory replacement houseings and should make my 8000k's look awesome but when i get some more money saved up ima get a set of 8000k hi/lows cause the ones i got now are low beams only, anyways your yukon looks sick with those projectors but i feel u on the damn spotlighting other ppl while ur driveing i gotta adjust my headlights my right one shines off the road somethin awefull but all in all glad u got some hids they look good, im just wondering why mine aint as blue as other ppls 8000k's but other companys are diff i guess, anyways hope u can get it worked out man

umm, u try runnin a wire from back batters to front battery? maby theres to much of resistance in the chassis to let the voltage go back up fast enulf, ied do 1 run or 2 of neg to front battery n try that n see if it works better befor u take out or ac, i done the big three in my geo n my voltage stays around 14.8 but it drops to 13.2 when bass hits and my truck goes down to 13.8 with a lot bigger setup than my geo, when u test ur system are u idleing at 2krpm? or flat idle(with foot off gas peddle)? my geo would idle around 14.4 but when i would play my radio it would drop but when i brought up my rpm it wouldn't drop hardly any, that might be why ur voltage drops so much at idle, did u do a voltage test @ driveing to see how much a drop is there? but all in all ied do a run or 2 of 1/0 neg from back batters to front that might help it, or if that aint it ur truck must not like loud radios lol, anyways good luck with ur voltage prob man

i got my hids from a local shop but the ones i was gunna get are kinda like the ones steve put in the hoopty with 1 balast with 2 bulbs comein out of it n see if that would work but his was for a 2 bulb high low n my factory bulbs are h4 so if that harness is diff or what knot i unno if hids would look good in that other opening or what is that other opening for highbeam or just another add on bulb? cause i was kinda wantin a hi/low ina projector itself but thats all that i could find for my truck, u kno of another place that makes em? edit: i looked n steves setup used 6 balasts and bulbs, but ied like to kno the size bulbs for that projector asembly tho are they h1 and h3?
