      My first system was JBL 12s about 20 years ago. They were the best speaker I could buy from the PX in Germany, but probably not great compared to a modern sub.

      Mine was some Kenwoods. Not bad for a first system, saw them for $50 or so at drive in autosound the other day. Went down in price as it cost me more than that :(
