  1. You thread them into WOOD and then thread a bolt into them...typically a 1/4"x20tpi bolt.
  2. Oh and you can get them from ace hardware or any hardware/building supply store.
  3. Ugh....I forget what they are called....they are basically like a T-Nut, I've used them before when mounting two tsw-5102spl woofers. edit: They are called threaded wood inserts.
  4. Already got someone trying to tell me that there friend with two 12w7 sealed in a trunk car was louder than me Welp trying to sell the talon and build my new system lol.... Insurance is dumb and I just don't feel like having the burden of maintenance/insurance/mods on two cars. Gonna pay off the loan I got if I can sell it... and start building my new system....if this car gets sold I think so people may be surprised by hat I have in store for my new build..
  5. Midbass is midbass typuically ~40-200hz and midrange is usually ~200-4000hz.... Geez learn what things are called before you call someone wrong.
  6. Ruckspin & Planas - Oxygen is still my favorite dubstep song.
  7. In my insurance policy it states that anything bolted to the vehicle is covered by insurance.
  8. I have seen people who didn't solder their in-door speaker connections and fried there amp and speakers b/c it came loose and grounded out. Remember how many times you open and close your doors.... SOLDER them.
  9. I use the Stinger HPM 14g twisted.... much better than regular wire, or even knukonceptz twisted....its got a supersoft and flexible jacket.
  10. Yeah... unfortunately I've become this way.... I can tell the difference between 35 and 38hz lol...
  11. Although flexing is a problem and most stereo hobbyists know this... its still fun to watch....sometime you can't eliminate all flex... so it's still fun to watch.
  12. I had a CVR and I just didn't care for it much.... I get an alpine type R.....or if you look around you may be able to find and RE SE for that price ($125).
  13. With the stereo in it it rides like a normal blazer but if I take the stereo out it rides like a 1ton pickup unloaded....
  14. My stereo weighed in at about 550lbs (100ft of 1/, two t10001bbd, t8004, two spv35, hc2400, 2.5sheets of mdf, two Fi BLs) I put bags on the rear of my blazer b/c it was sitting about 1/2-3/4" off the bump stops and the smallest bump would make it hit the bump stops.... That was with just me in it.... I would regularly have 4-5ppl in my car, at one point I had 300lbs of luggage and food and a 4g63 engine in the back along with the stereo and two passengers.....the thing was slammed the whole drive (2000miles) after seeing how bad my tires were buldging and how bad my springs were getting I fitted my Blazer with airbags in the rear....not on a compressor but just a Schrader valve and inflated them to 20psi.
