i am not sure of the model number.. its a brutus 2005 the silverish ones, used for about 5 or 6 competitions, this amp wasn't used for listening to music. it was put in the day of the competition and then everything was taken back out (not enough room in the ranger for the system to stay in all the time) its a pretty heavy amp, at least 25 for shipping.

Yeah that was a buddy of mine. they were 49xx, 50xx, 49xx i don't know the right numbers but all were damn near a 1000 watts over the rating.

yes you are right i had it backward... i edited it the t10001bd is rated at 1000 watts at one ohm. does anywhere from 1300 to 1500 usually in the mid 1400 range. at least my two do..

some info: the brutus line of amps are way overrated and the rockford t1k is way underrated wattage wise. I metered both amps on my system and it was the same db. edit: the bxi2005 will be a lot easier on your electrical system then the rf t1k.

$200.00 for a bxi2005 barely used or check out High Desert Audio on ebay for a t1k for $280 plus 17 shipping. best bang for the buck is the knukonceptz wire on ebay. it has more strands then any other wire and it is cheaper then the stinger

If you want to stay on the cheap side, that will work. Another thing to think about is how many boxes do you build. If you are someone like Mr. Meade get a router. A few extra bucks and you have something that will last a lot longer.

just my two pennies i have one t1k powering two t1 15's at one ohm in a 5.63 cube box with 4 four inch ext. aero ports tuned to 35hz peaking at 42hz hitting 145.4 on the dash. i think you could hit 138-140...

The T10001bd is the best of your choices you listed. Its the best amp for the money imo. besides it doesn't look like you are after spl with a sealed setup. there is a guy that competes in our local events with one 15 inch re blow through, don't know what wattage but he is hitting a 148ish. the thing about blow through is the amount of work it takes compared to a wall. however as long as you cut the cab and bed holes in one piece, you can put it back the way it was.

Okay I understand all that now. So my next question is would it be better to tune my box to the car freq?
