Is it true that the general consensus is that forward firing sealed is meter louder but rear or upfiring sounds better for a trunk build?

with my new box, i sealed off. am i 100% sealed, no but that is very hard to do. i gained lows with mine and its not louder by ear, but it sounds better. place if you need to replace subs, its easier then taking box out lol

my sealed forward was worse than rear, more rattling and the bass almost seemed more hollow if that makes sense, but it was opposite with my lexus. like others said, test it.......
