  1. I just got Lucky on my setup with Sub and port up, I was about to build a box with sub up ports back (aero ports) here is a link to my build My MX-3
  2. Crx style boxes don't work in the mx-3. I've tried a ton of boxes in my mx. The best setup I have is sub & port up. With the box all the way to the rear of the hatch. Also subs forward and port up works, thats the setup i'm running now.
  3. 2x.... I change from Kicker to Sundown. I had 2 Kicker ZX1500.1 on 2 15" L7. I change to 2 15" Nightshade and went up most 2db. Traded the 2 ZX1500 in for 1 Sundown 3k and went up 1 more db. I love Sundown products!!! I'm still running the same 3k 2 years later the subs where traded for 4 Sa-12. Dependable is the best thing about Sundown. Day end and day out they can take a beating like none of the brands I ever owned.
  4. that much port area in not really need. Any where between 12-16 per cu.ft. is fine.

  9. Shouldn't change the way it sounds at all. It will be the same displacement no matter where you mount the speaker.
  10. just mount the sub on the top there is enouch room

  13. Hey guys i'm playing with kerf port design. But i'm clueless on how big the kerf needs be, compared to the size of the port. The port i'm using is 2.5 x 37.5. Should the kerf be the the same size as the port width or half the port width? Here is the design so everyone can see how i'm tring to get the kerf.
