  2. I was thinking about buying some Type R or kicker CVX 15s. anyone got any ideas on what would be better? or maby another brand for around the same price?
  3. yea you can get them for 170ish shipped pretty cheap and i like them
  4. yea i like them, i wanna make a new build for my blazer with 4 of these, could have some potential.
  5. So yea... i saw this comming just really never prevented it. was jaming out to Akon I wanna F*ck you, it was slamming hard. Key word Was.... Half way threw the song, i smell somethen like a sweet smoke.... then it hit me look back to see some comming from my amp and 2 sec later it shut off and gave a whole boat load to fill my car up with smoke.... But needless to say it was pouding hard and sounding great so it went out with a bang. The victum: One of my 3 Cliff Designs 2400 watt monoblocks. i pulled off the back panel expecting to see exploded cappacitors or a burnt resistor maby get luck to a burnt mosfet..... after a bit of looking and using my nose to follow the smell i found it right next to a heatsink. As i look a bit closer for a sec i relized those heatsinks are sitting on some mosfets!! so one of them started on fire along with a resistor! well now time to see how much it is to get them fixed or if i should just get another one off ebay? At the end of the day it was fun and that amp was pushing some power. It was wired down to 1 ohm and yea i knew it would handle it if i kept the volume down but as time went by i slowly turned it up a lil more and up a lil more and yea.... time to throw another one in! sorry for the shatty pics, they were on my phone

  12. you will set it up on one computer, for the wireless computers that you use on your wifi you will have a wep key. use this key on your wireless computers that you are connecting.
  13. if you get a switch and worried about leaving it on hook it up to your chime.
  14. why do you want to put the cd in? you want to downgrade? or just get somethen off the cd?
  15. heh that was wierd. but yea waiting on the new tweeters to come, then i will go buy some coils for the subs and some capacitors and resistors for the twwweeeeets
  16. k i could get one of these : http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=family or parellel a few of these to get the wattage up: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=family i will ask them there see if they know anything. i doubt they do but sometimes they surprise me.
  17. alrighty, yea i was looking on partsexpress and they just had a 10 and 12 watt, but i will look at radio shack tommorw after class and see whats up.
  18. k but then i saw some when they had them hooked up across, going from positive to negitve just before the tweeter but i dont know i think that is for a highpass filter. but a 12 watt resistor i dont think thats big enough? i have a 50 watt tweeter?
  19. k i looked and found some lower ohm resistors. but they say there only rated to 10 or 12 watts? will these work? and how would i hook them up? im going to read up on some crossovers again at the 12volt.
  20. thats what i originally thought but ive never seen a 8 or 4 ohm resisotr that would be able to handle like 45 watts or maby i should go with like 35 so the resistor burns out before the tweeter dose.
