I would go back to where you got the calculator and reread the post on how it works and what to do. After that read it 5 more times and you will understand it. Then come back if you still have questions. And read the whole thread not just the first post. my 2 cents..... -
depends but most likely will help specially if your head unit has a lower volt preout

what about inverting the subs With design 1? Or maybe arange them a little different like in a triangle and having 1 big vent?
-
get some max dims and we will go from there. Remeber the bigger you can make it the better it will sound. (within reason)
-
do a search for the box calc. its very handy
-

-

Well yeap. got board, convinced the roommate to spend some money and get something going in is tonka toy. So here is what i got. Just ordered it today and will get a build going when it gets here, and when i get back from florida. (anyone in the Ft. Myers or Cape Coral area hit me up) 1 10" Re SX 1 BXI1610D Hifonics Brutus Class D amp. (1600 rms watts) 1 HC600 for the back knukonceptz Wire and rca's And my favorite part. 1 t-line tuned to 30hz (fs of sx) running about 1000 watts rms. Plan on doing the vent through the rear so im gettin gooooosebumbs already. Where keepin his stock radio in for now cause the factory radio / amp already is rockin. anyone else excited? Cause i sure am. almost as exciting to go to florida! -Cliff

i usually stick around the 14ish area for sq inch of port per cube. Most of my boxes are tuned to about 31 hz. plays the lows amazing but yet still sounds pretty good on the rock or country. but if your more of a rock person i would tune just a jib jab higher. but there will be nothing like a t line on rock oooo just amazingness. if you got the room and the right sub that is what i would do.
-
the 45 in the vent. not the box
-
i would atleast 45 the corner right next to the sub.
-
no you do not need to account for the 45 in the displacement of the box. just make sure your port is the same width all the way around that bend. i was looking at it before and with the outer dims. it looked small but it may be cause im buzzed and rambiling.. ha
-
and put in your sub diss. it will make your freq. a lil higher with them accounted for. Edit again: Your puttin 45's in to right?
-
i think you should have ateast the width of the port distance from the back of your box to the end of your port. looks like its only .2 off may not make a big deal but i would try to avoid it. EDIT: correction looks like its alomst an inch off. is it like 4" from the end of your port to the back of the box?
