I brought that up when I was getting mine installed. My friend Mike at Xtreme Car Audio said that if it was a manual he was installing in, he could put a sensor on it that detects whenever the car is in gear. Therefore, it will not start if its in gear.

Thats a typical price for it.. Chain stores usually steer away from manual remote starts because they dont want to deal with clutch bi-passes and liability I bought my alarm for my dad's truck online and had it installed at a buddys shop
