are your current speaker wires running parallel to your power wires? if you aren't getting interference now then it shouldn't change with new wire. But i wouldn't ziptie those together, i would zip tie them separately. and try to keep the speaker wire separate from power the best you can. I'm not an expert but i would think you run a higher chance of interference trying to fish your speaker wires clear across and under the dash from the passenger to drivers side in the front. So in other words, power wires and front drivers side speaker wire on the drivers side, and the rest on passenger side. In my mind you are less likely to get interference through a speaker wire that a rca cable. You could always just leave lots of wire for that one run and mock it up, if it doesn't work just run it on the other side, if it does work cut off the excess wire and you're set.

higher output voltage is nice as long as you can adjust it to match your amp. No use in 7v outs if your amp only takes 5v max.

I would like to add that an EQ can be a mixed blessing. They are nice for boosting or cutting frequencies that need either, but you may find that you are constantly tweaking it for different recordings. Some artists just sound different than others and you really don't want to be tweaking it while driving. Just my experience. Also you may want to take someone with you while driving down the highway and have them adjust settings, because it may sound better one way with road noise and such than it does while just sitting in your driveway.

I'm not going to recommend a brand so i don't start a vs. thread here but i will say running dual whips can be a pain in the arse. First thing is go buy an swr meter. Learn how to use it or ask and i can tell you. Second, ground the hell out of your antenna(s) bad grounds mean high swr which means you blow up your radio's transmitter. Most dual whip setups come with a "y" cable that should balance output to both antennas but i never trusted those things. My personal opinion, and this is just my opinion, is to get a good quality base loaded single whip. but they probably dont look as cool as dual whips.

You can try this at your own risk, and i would like someone else to give their opinion on it first but, you could run a short ground wire from the ground side of the rca connector (outside part) on your camera to a good body ground. i've seen it on some old radios once or twice.

I wanted to add something, since you are going to use your ipod anyway as a music source then the Line out is the best way to go. This way you dont change volume levels by accident at the source and risk clipping. This way when you set you gains they are set with the same source level. like others have said if you must rip rip at the highest bit rate. You could even play your test tones on your ipod and use the line out with a headphone to rca cable and hook that cable between your ipod and our dd-1 to make sure it isnt clipping. if you get clipping then try the headphone out at a volume level that doesnt clip then never go above that volume level again after you hook it to your HU. Edit* I missed that you have a USB port on your HU, so just use that instead of line in.

I was having trouble with the code then i realized i copied an extra space on then end of the code. When i pasted then code in the coupon box, the space was there. evidently the coupon code box is very picky about the code. once i made sure the only thing in the box was "SMDDD1" (without quotes) it worked fine.
