i want 4 15 inch obsidian audio's 2 hifonics hfi1500's interstate battery 8500 under the hood kinetic hc1800 in the back... All on a Stock alternator Really bad idea or can i manage?

well i need more like 2400 at 2 ohms man. 600 rms per sub. 4 OA 15's i could handle 750 rms a sub but still i dont like to push my luck haha

I know, so thats perfect... 4 OA 15 D4's wire them to a 2 ohm load bridge the amp. so 2 ohm load on the amp which would equal 3000 watts rms output correct?

Okay i have 2 15's right now, they are wired down to a 1 ohm load. I want to get 2 more, but the problem is i will only be able to wire them down to a 2 ohm load. Wat do you guys think of the Audiopipe 3000.1D http://www.audiopipe.com/products/amplifiers/ap/ap-30001d.html What i find weird is that it does.. 3000rms at 2 ohms but at 1 ohm it only does 1500rms? wtf

lol well i knew you obviously had one, i wish i had a quarter of the tools u had, i build my boxes with a jigsaw, drill, and sander haha actually do some pretty straight ass cuts with a jig, but takes longer than a circle saw

Hey steve.. umm i've my filler with an orbital sander, why dont u try that? easier on the hands, or a detail sander, doesnt eat through the filler as easy

its not a 6th other, that just a lid to cover the trunk area, subs in trunk facing cabin. i will try to up the port area

PORT 5X5, 10in Deep tuned to 35htz 6.78 port volume, kind of low but should work good 3.69 cubic ft after displacement of woofer and bracing

Well My obsidians are tuned down to 31htz and are clean its not made for crazy spl. i wanted sq and i got it, im happy with them, and when i want them to get loud they get loud. up the gain a bit, i feed em 750 rms like i said

That is true with the sealed box, but you lose alot of spl... i know that you want sound quality so just go with the Q, sealed box, but bigger end of the build

yes, the obsidian audio's are conservitively rated at 600rms. Just like any other high end brands, such as, (Fi, Oa, Sundown, DC Audio, etc.....) $150 for a 15inch OA, and i feed mine 750rms, and it wants more, they are barely moving

yes same question! i was looking at these today, and i really want some new mids/highs! i was looking into Selenium 6w4p but these crescendo's are cheaper and i think they are louder, handle double the rms.

try to solder the end of it, so once you tighten it down, that soldered part wont be able to come out..
