  1. nothing to do with electrical should have the word "band-aid" in the sentence at all! honestly PLEASE contact mike singer one more time and ask him if he has any OEM rebuilt alts with a little more @ idle his 200a cant be 400 dollars when he price quoted me 385 for a 275a if you have a really crazy expensive alt then maybe ill say buy a cheap brand? but at the end of the day its your money... no one here is trying to send you in the wrong direction. it took me about 2 weeks of emails, phone calls, and research before i bough a alternator from Mike Singer.... id double that for a "off brand" alt if you want a real working band-aid have your Alternator rebuilt and save for the real deal... IMHO @ whoever said it takes 6-8 weeks to get a alternator from "the big 3 alternator companies" is smoking rocks... BTW excessive amperage has inflated prices for one of the most common alternator cases in GM vehicles (AD244) (430 dollars for a 250a/140@idle) was what i was quoted from them
  2. ok after having a second thought at it i may need nathan back in here lol if i add a few (2-3) xp 950s to the back bank would that help with the reserve issue i may face, if playing full tilt for long periods of time or just add more D975s?
  3. I hope I don't need to worry about that -.-
  4. From 14.4v? Damn mine will be pretty bad then lol. So should I do the 3 d975s and a d3400 in back? Or add a d3100 to the back? No doubt in my mind that a d1200 will fit in stock location Man I would say just keep adding the 975s as you can. Stop once your happy with the voltage OK cool they seem to be 150-180 new online So I guess 3 for 300 ain't to bad I got tons of room because I removed the back seats completely so more d975s it its!

  6. Thanks for the info guys ! I already paid my friend for them and he is gonna ship them tomorrow so I guess I'll just keep adding if I need it.. I don't park and pound in town too often Mostly driving but never in town at full tilt...
  7. with my "simple" understanding of the rating on the XS power batts (that's giving me alot of credit lol) 3 D975s = 6300 max amps 1 D3100 = 5000 max amps so with 3 of the D975s in the back supplying most of the power and a D1200 (or bigger gotta still measure the stock battery location) im looking at 8000+ max amps from just batteries? and with a singer 275a alt picking up some of the slack (150-160a at idle) i cant see voltage dropping to much ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i know you guys like to push the D3100s onto everyone but honestly for the price im getting the D975s i dont think im going to complain if i hit 13.4v on a voltage drop if i drop any lower then i will ad a few more in the back... and it will still be cheaper than getting 3 D3100s (not trying to be cocky so please dont take offense)
  8. Thanks I was hoping the 3 d975s would be enough... along with a decent battery upfront. I read the guide already it said one d975 can put out a Max of 2100 amps so I figured 3 of them would do the trick and I'm getting them for almost 100 dollars less than a d3100 I don't want to cut corners or cheap out but I think I'll just buy my friends
  9. so a buddy has 3 d975's for sale (about 100 bucks each) less than 3 months old im wondering if that will be enough of a battery bank for my 2 soundstream rubicon 2500d's (5000rms) i have a 275 singer amp ordered and on its way along with tons of 1/0 (going to do 3-4 runs of pos/neg) i remember being told to get 3 d3100s (1 up front and 2 in the back) but that seems like HELLA overkill (15,000amps??!?!?!??!!?!?!??!?!?!?!?) along with a crazy sales pitch lol i am going to replace my start batt with atleast a d1200 or anything that can fit the system will not be on without the truck running! i just cant afford to blow a little under 1000 dollars in batteries for only 5000rms let know thanks!
  10. how many idle amps do you need? how many batteries do you have to supply power to? contact mike singer he will work with you plus he has a lifetime warranty on all of his alts also ask him if he has any subsidized alts (sometimes he has a few extra laying around that he will knock off 20-50 bucks off) i got a 275a alt for my 97 jimmy for hell of a price (wont list it because its below his normal prices) you cant really cheap out on this kind of stuff... but if you do want to go the cheapest route find the biggest OEM alternator that can fit your car and then look for one online from a reputable site...

  13. By taking off the foil and using the adhesive? Wouldn't see why it wouldn't work lol
  14. Haha its OK I will pm you I don't have the full amount but will make a deposit or work out a deal.. I may be buying 2 Rubicon 1.2500s pretty cheap I'd love to have a amp that is labeled 50 out of 50 tho!
  15. started a video only build log!!! go check it out if your stalking my profile!

  16. yeah i know i aint bagging on the people that sell them @ that price (they are great amps) but it just boggles my mind that a 4500 (possibly more output and amp draw than 2 2500s) is cheaper i guess with 2 amps you have more options than one moster one? lolol let me know if he has a bass knob and what not i may be interested they are some sexy "cheater amps" i can most likely do half down right away and the other half before he ships it obviously (got alot of things i can sell for fast cash!)
  17. sold was talking with cj18 right away about his PB but shipping is a little steep and talking with another guy about the old school autotek MM4000.1 (the one with dual 1/0 inputs not the new overrated ones) id love to get two saz-2500s (strapped) (or similar models audioque,DC,crescendo, ect) but people want so much for them on caco (550+shipping each when ive seen 4500s sell for 900+ shipping) but if anyone has anything hit me up still in the market!!
  18. let me know how to instal 4 15s stealth like
  19. i know this isnt the best word to use but im looking for a "cheap" 5k lol talking with cj about his PB but i also got a few offers on CACO waiting for my payment on ebay for my phone i just sold (sgs2) but if i had to put a limit on the amount i can spend right now without it taking another weeks worth of paycheck i would say 750 shipped
  20. looking for an amp to power 4 15" SSD's @ 1ohm i need atleast 4k but looking for some head room will consider 2 strappable amps that equal 5k (or close to it) post or pm what you got (depending on price i may need a week or so to get total funds together!)
  21. oh man i can tell this is gonna be a nice long wait
  22. must be universal or dual 2's standard options are fine (cooling is a plus) post what you got and/or PM me!
