im running a soundstream rub4.600 for my speaker 100w at 4 ohms. iirc about 180 on amazon.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to change in the pic on Torress calc? Im a little confused on how to input the data for the port, and how long it will actually be.

alright, i mocked up a designs with torres, just wanted to know what you guys thought of the specs, plus im a little confused about how to get the tuning right with the length that i put in vs the physical length the calc tells me to use, and which one is the length ill actually be cutting. thanks all.

Alright, since my subs are recommended for 1.0ft each for a ported enclosure, I'll just do a 4ft box, or is there a better way to tell how big to make the box? Also, do the dimensions matter as long as it's the right size and it fits in my truck?

That and how would I decide on the right box volume and dimensions? Or is that pretty much where the trial and error part comes in?

Haha sorry, not trying to be offensive with my lack of knowledge and experience. I'm only 17, and I've built a few extremely mild systems for some friends, and the system that's in my suburban now is leftovers from my dads stuff. Just thinking it's time for something new.

Hi all, I'm new to the forums and figured I'd just jump right in. Been having this dilemma lately, so I figured id come and get some more opinions. Basically I'm looking to upgrade from 4 older kenwood excelon 10s in a suburban to some larger 12ins, in a 6ft sealed box. I just haven't been able to find any in my budget of 100-150 a piece that I would think would gain me any noticeable difference spl wise. anyone got any suggestions? Not looking for massive raw spl, just a good balance of spl and sq. ignore the above posting lol. if anyone is able to help, im struggling with using torres's box calculator to design a new box. any help would be mighty appreciated.
