  9. lol yea. kinda dumb aint it? im goin with the 9887 though, i wont need/use the imprint till i get a new vehicle that i can really do something with as far as syetm goes. anybody know of anywhere that has them HU's on sale cheaper than 399.99?
  10. damn. im leaning towards the 9887 for the built in crazy eq and time alignment and the changeable button illumination (big + for me can get that alpine green ) but i do like the usb input on the 9886 cuz i do carry around a flash drive loaded with music all the time.
  11. so im looking to buy a headunit this coming week and its either the apline cda 9886 or cda 9887 but i was wondering what the difference in the 2 is and is it worth the extra money for the 9887. ive found several 9887's for about 320 and some 9886's for 250-270 so what does that extra 50 bucks get me?
  12. that looks exactly like his amp. ill take a look at it next time i see him and see if its got that switch. if so we'll try it again.
  13. i have an hp one from walmart and it connects with everything i need it to

  15. id like this bronco (1st pic) http://pensacola.craigslist.org/cto/824065583.html photoshopped with these rims/tires http://memimage.cardomain.com/member_image.../2370637_22.jpg if possible. sorry for the non image post my PB account isnt letting me upload anything. im thinking about buying that bronco and want to know what it would look like with those rims really dont care about the tires so much. thanks in advance.
  16. i had it bridged properly, it had the line going to each terminal that makes it bridged, and i hooked it up to them. but i didnt look for a switch, i didnt know such a thing existed on certain amps. ill look at it again tomorrow.
  17. i wired them like this. and it shouldve worked but it didnt not sure whats its called but i thought it was called parallel. i hooked it back up the way he had it and it worked fine. its like this per channel now he said he tried hooking them up like this and it popped the fuse instantly. so idk maybe he messed it up when he tried that and it just wont work bridged now?
  18. so my buddy came over today and he wanted me to hook his 2 12" power acoustik subs up bridged. so i wired them in parallel (right?) to get a load of 4 ohms total. theyre dual 4 ohm coils. but when i hooked them up bridged to the amp, i got no output. 1st time i tried it it blew the fuse in the amp. so i turned the gain all the way down and then put a new fuse in a tried it again. it didnt blow the fuse but i never got any output even at almost wide open gain. the amp is a kenwood 1000watt 2 channel. and its supposed to be 4 ohm stable bridged. but idk why it didnt work
  19. alright im talkin to him now and he's likin the idea. you happen to have any pics of how you had that setup?
  20. port back, up, forward, through the deck?
  21. he's already got 2 and he's not satisfied, although he could use a better amp. but he's got his mind set on another one of those amps, and 2 more of the subs.
  22. he wants to port it, theyre power acoustik fubar 12w's they say 2 ft ^3 ported. idk if we can get 8ft^3 out of his trunk.
  23. so my buddy has decided he wants to do 4 12's in his car. i was wondering how we should do the box. subs up port back? subs up port front? i also thought we might could do kinda like the hooptie and have 2 ported boxes facing each other with the ports back. idk but some feedback would be nice.
